I layed my head down on the chilled pillow. This whole place seemed like a freezer. I caught a glimpse of a guard, as he walked by. His face was stern, and cold. I shuddered as he glanced my way. This guy somehow looked familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on who he was. After he walked away, I sighed. It felt like a giant weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I walked over to the edge of my cell. I put my hand up agains the cold, hard metal. To my surprise, my hand went through! I pulled it back and put it through several times to make sure I wasn't having a dream again. I sat on the bed, and stared at my hands. They didn't look any different, but they felt different, somehow... I'd figure that out later. Right now, I needed to escape.
"Hey, Xavier, you awake?" I asked in a soft voice.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm awake," he said, sounding barely conscious.
"Come up with that plan yet?" I asked, in a bit of an amusing tone.
"What plan? Oh, that plan. Nope, no escape plan yet. Still working on it." Xavier sounded more awake now.
"Well, I don't think I need one," I said as I stuck my hands through the bars. I wonder if my whole body could go through... I thought to myself. I looked up and down the corridor, making sure nobody was coming in, and that nobody was in here. I stuck my foot through, and it passed through. I stuck my arm though, then I tried my head. Sure enough, they went through. I hesitated, but I finnaly forced myself to walk through the barred wall.
"How...?" Xavier said, astounded.
"I don't know. I was leaning against the wall, and my hand went through. Now shush so I can get the keys and we can get out of here," I said as I walked over to a desk. Appearantly, a guard must sit here during certain times, because there were donut boxes and beer on the desk. I ruffled through a few papers, looking for anything that might explain this. I found the keys, and I grabbed a few pieces of paper, I'd look at them later. Then, I froze. One of the doors was starting to make it's awful opening noise. I'd never get back to my cell in time. I'd either die, or I'd be totured or something along the lines of that. My whole life seemed to flash before my eyes in those 5 seconds. Then, the guard walked over tword the desk. I thought for sure that I'd be gone. The guard didn't seem to notice me at all. In fact, the guard didn't look twice at me. I looked down at my hands. I almost gasped out loud, but I covered my mouth. My hands were invisible. I crept back over to my cell, and went inside.
The guard walked out a few minutes later, so I took the keys and the paper and walked back over to Xavier's cell.
"Didn't the guard see you?" Xavier's eyes were pratically bulging out of his head.
"I guess not. I wonder why he didn't see me. Could you see me?" I asked.
"No, I thought they took you," Xavier said.
The chains on the wall started moving.
"InuYasha! You're alive!" I exclaimed as I walked over to him.
"Yeah, I guess I am. Where are we, anyhow?" he said. His voice was weak.
"Jade has us locked in a prison. He's gone insane," I said as I unlocked InuYasha.
"Great. An insane person who has tons of guards," InuYasha said, a bit amused.
"Hey, what about me?" Xavier called from his cell. I had forgotten about him! I rushed over and un locked his door.
"Sorry," I said. I walked back over and unlocked InuYasha's other arm, and he fell down to the ground.
"What was that for?" he asked.
"Sorry, I forgot that you would've fallen."
"So Teal, show InuYasha you're 'magic'," Xavier said.
"What magic? Teal doesn't have magic powers, do you?"
I looked down at the floor. "Sorta, I guess."
"Well, what are they?" InuYasha asked.
I stuck one of my hands through the chain that was dangling from the wall. "That, and..." I said as I turned invisible.
"What the heck? Where'd she go, Xavier?" InuYasha said, as he looked right at me without noticing.
"Right in front of you," xavier replied in a musing tone of voice.
I forced myself to re-appear. "I don't even know how this all happened. All that I can remember was the Ramen at my house, then watching the news, and I started counting dots on the cieling. Everything that happened after that is a blur."
"Then maybe you would want an explanation, right?" InuYasha asked me.
"Yeah, that would help, alot," I replied.
"Ok, well after you started counting the dots, you fell behind the couch, unconscious. I don't know how that happened, but it did. Anyhow, after that, Jade walked upstairs, and I had picked you up, so he thought that I knocked you out. Then black light filled the room, and he was wearing some sort of dorky outfit with a black cape. He said that my time was up, and then we fought. He was a dirty fighter, and said that he called truce, then knocked me out cold with some sort of staff, and that's basically what happened," he said.
"Oh, so are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Good, so now we can-" I was cut off once again. The door was opening again. I grabbed InuYasha's and Xavier's hands, and I forced myself to turn invisible. I hoped that they turned invisible with me. Xavier started to say something, but I glared at him before he had the chance. We walked out of the room without being dected by the 4 guards. That was all the guards Jade had, because of him being so retarded, he never thought to hire more. We locked the door behind us, and I let go of their hands.
Will we get caught? Will we get Jade in his right mind? And will we EVER figure out why Jade is acting like this?
