At last, we reached the end of the corridor, but only to find ourselves at the other end of our so called "dorm". But we weren't the ONLY ones there. The 4 guards had came out the other door, and we waiting to give us on heck of a welcome.
"Hey Teal, Xavier, look! Our 'homies' have been waiting for us!" InuYasha said. He had a smirk on his face, which told me he was raring to go.
"Stop! There is no escape! We have you surrounded!" One guard yelled.
"With what, 4 guys?" Xavier said, sarcastically.
"You little brat! Men, get them!" the guard yelled as he signaled to the others. They all pulled out razor looking things.
"Uhh Xavier, do you know what they're carrying in their hands?" I said, as he and I started backing up.
"They're tazors!" Xavier exclaimed.
The guards were closer, but were taking their time.
"Tazors? What's that?" I asked with uncomprehension.
"It's electic. They zap you with it, and it sends an electric current through your body. And yeah
they can kill," Xavier replied.
One guard lunged at me, but I kicked his arm, which was one of the few places that was not covered in amor. He fell down from the force of the kick, and was knocked unconsious.
I glanced over at Xavier. He was furiously punching the guard that had called him the brat. That guard grabbed the tazor, and lunged with it at him. Xavier quickly ducked, avoiding the tazor. The guard turned around, and attempted the same thing again, but Xavier grabbed his arm, and twisted it, causing the guard to drop his tazor. The guard bent down, attempting to pick it back up, but Xavier stepped on his hand, crushing the bones in his fingers.
I turned my gaze over to InuYasha, who was fighting two guards. Two on one, that's not fair... I thought. InuYasha had one in a choke lock, and the other, was still fighting. The one that could fight, lunged at him, but he sent a kick into his shins, leaving a minor indent in the armor. The one that was in the choke hold collasped, and fell onto the floor. Now it was just one one one.
I looked back at Xavier, and the guard had his tazor back. He was furiously trying to zap Xavier. His arms seemed to be everywhere at once, but Xavier was holding up so far. Xavier punched the guard in the stomach, between the iron plates. The guard wheezed, and then fell down. Seeing as I had nobody to combat against, and that InuYasha was doing just fine, I scrambled over to Xavier to help him.
"Need some help?" I asked as I struck my fighting stance. I was raring to go, as I had defeated my guard easily. I thought that this one would be the same.
"Yeah, a hand would be nice!" he said in between his breath. He was breathing heavy, compared to me, who was breathing reagulary. I guess it was because he was fighting. The guard re-established his balance, then gave us a glaring look.
He took a step forward, and I gave him a look that said 'Bad move, buddy'. I stepped forward, then Xavier did. We stared him down, attempting to give him glaring looks.
"Hmph, what are you children doing?" the guard asked, impatiently. It was clear that he wanted one of us to make the first move.
Neither one of us said anything, we were still trying to make him uneasy.
Finally, he stepped forward again.
"I don't have all day to 'play' with a bunch of little brats like yourselves," the guard replied in a smirky voice, as he lunged forward, tazor in hand.
Me and Xavier scrambled different directions, easily avoiding the tazor.
"What's the matter? Are you bit slow?" I asked, teasing.
The guard was now getting extremely arrogant and annoyed. He lunged forward again, but I grabbed the tazor. He gaped. I was amazed, I didn't think I had that great reflexes. I took the tazor, and snapped it. It gave me a minor shock, but nothing I couldn't handle. I tossed the two pieces aside, hitting the guard with them as they flew over his head.
InuYasha walked over, as his guard was on the ground next to the other one that he had knocked out.
"Want some more help?" he asked, a bit full of himself.
We nodded, as all three of us ducked from the guard, who had just swung a kick our way.
Xavier was breathing even heavier than he was before, but I was still full of energy. Usually I was out of breath before Xavier, but then again, this place was like a whole different world.
The guard grabbed a spear, and charged at us with it. I ducked, and Xavier and InuYasha split to the sides.
"What's the matter? Can't do hand-in-hand combat?" I smirked. I was getting quite confident in fighting, especially when I was with the people in the world that made me feel happy.
"Hmph, you're just jelous that you don't have fancy weapons like this!" he screeched, and then pointed the spear towards me, just to show it off.
"I don't need no stinking weapons! I have mine right here!" I exclaimed as I pointed to my fists and feet.
Xavier rushed in, and attempted to slide kick the guard, but unfortunatly got caught by the guard. He dropped his spear, and picked Xavier up by his shirt collar.
"Xavier! Why did you do something stupid like that?" I yelled. I was mad and scared.
The guard was choking Xavier, as he didn't respond.
"What's the matter? Can't breathe? Aww, that's to bad!" The guard yelled as he thrusted Xavier against the wall.
My eyes were filling up with tears. My vision was going blurry because of them. I blinked constantly, tears pouring.
A blur came by me, but I knew who it was. It was InuYasha.
He tapped the guards shoulder.
"Hey, listen here. One. Do NOT mess with Teal's family," InuYasha said, as he punched the guard in the back.
Xavier's breath was getting slower and slower. I felt adreniline coursing through me. I propelled myself across the room, and I slide kicked along the ground, causing the guard to trip.
The guard released Xavier from his grasp, and Xavier struggled over to the wall, and then collapsed.
"InuYasha, go check Xavier and see if he's alright. I want to finish this guard," I said.
InuYasha hesitated a bit. "But Teal-" he said.
"GO! I want to finish him, I can do it," I said. I wanted payback. This guard nearly killed, if he didn't, Xavier.
InuYasha nodded, then rushed over to Xavier.
"Now, it's my turn," I said, as I put my foot on the guard's chest and started pressing down.
"This, is for locking me up!" I said as I punched him.
He muttered and wheezed in pain.
"And this, is for fighting us!" I yelled as I kicked him.
He wheezed again. His breathing was becoming heavier every time I stuck him.
I was saving my best for last.
"And last, but certainly not least, is for almost KILLING us," I yelled as I kicked, punched, and bit him.
He wheezed agian, and fell down, unconscious.
I rushed over to Xavier and knealt down.
"Is he alright?" I asked. MY voice was quavering.
"Yeah, merly just unconscious," InuYasha replied as he picked up Xavier's limp body.
InuYasha turned around, to make one last look at the room, then started walking.
I refused to look back. I wouldn't. I started trudging out of the room, slowly.
No cliff hanger this time! Wait 'till I write the next chapter!
