I opened my eyes a bit and seen log walls. I lifted my head up, and seen blankets and hot water bottles draped over me. I was on a couch, from what it seemed. I glanced around the room a bit. There was a fireplace on the wall opposite of me. InuYasha was on another couch, and Xavier was too. They had blankets draped on them as well.

I let my head fall back on the pillow and my eyes shut. I tried to go to sleep, but it was of little use. I heard cups clang and then water started to run from behind me. A big, buff dog was on the floor in front of the fireplace now. I shut my eyes, and telling myself that this was a dream, and counted to ten.

I must've fallen back asleep, for when I awoke again, InuYasha was sitting up on the couch. I noticed I could feel my legs and feet again, so I sat up.

"Finally." InuYasha said, as he sipped something from a mug.

"Where are we?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"In an Inn. Do you feel better?"

"Yeah, I feel alot better," I replied.

"Well, then, drink some of this, dear," an old lady said. She was short, but really skinny. Her long strands of gray hair covered most of her face. She walked over to me, carrying an orange mug, much like the one InuYasha had.

I took it from her and stared into the cup. She walked out of the room, and behind her trotted the dog I had seen earlier.

"What is it?" I asked, glancing over at InuYasha.

"You'll like it. Try it," he said.

I was not the person who had liked to try new things. I liked what I did, and that was it. Nothing else. My life was always the same, because I never tried things that I wasn't unsure of. While I thought of that, I tried to recall how this all started. Everything seemed like a blur. One thing led from another, then to another after it. It was like episodes of television shows.

"But what is it?" I asked once again.

"Just try it."

I stopped asking what it was, and stared at the cup. Warm steam rushed against my face, but it felt good. I knew I wasn't going to ever fnid out what it was unless I tried it. Reluctantly, I took a small sip, careful not to burn my tounge. It tasted good, but unlike anything I had ever tasted before.

"It's good. Will you tell me what it is now?" I asked, impatient.

"Green Tea," the old lady said. I didn't notice that she had come back into the room. This time, she had two dogs instead of one.

I looked at the dogs. One had a long, shaggy brown coat of a Saint Bernard and the floppy ears. The other was a sheer white with markings of a husky around it's face. It had an almost wolf-like appearance to it, due to the pointed ears and busy tail.

"The shaggy one's name is Reese, and the white one's name is Rudolpho," InuYasha said. He must have noticed that I was looking at them.

"Would you like to pet one? They're very friendly, and won't bite," stated the old lady.

I nodded, set my mug down on the center table, and walked over to Rudolpho. Reese was over licking Xavier's face, and Xavier was mumbling, not waking up to his 'lover'. I gently stroked Rudolpho, starting with my hand at the back of his head, and slowly moved down his back. He was so softer, softer than anything I had felt. Rudolpho's tail wagged left, right, up, down, and any other direction while I was petting him. After I stopped and resumed drinking my Green Tea and plopped myself on the couch, Rudolpho trotted over and sat beside me on the couch, laying his head on my leg. It felt warm, and gave me a sense of being home.

"Ah, I see Rudolpho has taken a likeness to you," the old lady said. "Not something he does to everybody. Consider yourself special."

"Not to be rude or any thing, but who are you?" I asked.

"Me? I am Lady Bertha. And now, if you'll excuse me, I have to run some errands. I will be back shortly."

Lady Bertha walked out of the room, leaving Rudolpho, Reese, Xavier, InuYasha and myself there. The house quiet warm and cozy. I looked out the window, and snow was falling so slowly, that it looked as if it was just hanging in the air. I felt alone, even with Rudolpho beside me, so I got up and sat by InuYasha.

"You feeling better?" he asked me.

"Yeah, alot."

"Good."

"InuYasha, did I scare you back there?"

"Nah, I knew you'd be alright."

"Are you sure?'

"Yeah."

I looked into his eyes. I could tell he was scared. He just didn't want to admit it.

"What about Xavier? Did I scare him?"

"Yeah, but he wouldn't admit it."

I sat in silence. I stood up, and walked over to Xavier. I had to push Reese out of the way in order to poke his face.

"Wakey wakey, Sleeping Beauty," I said.

He just mumbled and rolled over, pulling his blanket up closer to his face.

"C'mon! You can't sleep forever!"

I pulled the blanket off, and Reese took it

Xavier sprang up, startled.

"What the heck?"

"Finally!"

-------------------

After awhile we were all caught up with each other, information wise.

Xavier was playing with Reese, and Rudolpho, InuYasha and myself were sitting on a couch, half awake.
