Birth

(or Over Tea)

The bells jingled as the blond man entered. From what the owner of the coffee place could tell, he had blond hair with soft chocolate brown eyes. His name? Ginji Amano, leader of the VOLTS, the most feared gang in Mogenjou's Lower Town.

"Excuse me, I'm supposed to meet someone here today, his name is Mido, Ban do you know…?" the blond left it at that. To this, the owner, a red/orange head with dark glasses, pointed to a table. With a nod, his guest went and sat down. After a few minutes, a black haired waitress waltzed over to his table.

"Sir, what would you like to have?" she asked, pad and pen in hand.

"Oh, I'll…I'll have some tea, thank you," he told her.

"Tea coming right up!" the waitress exclaimed happily, going behind the counter to prepare the tea.

The blond man then looked out the window. It was a rainy day, raindrops falling from every possible slit. Yet, inside the café it was warm. He chuckled as he remembered Kazu's worried face, when he told them he was going out of Mogenjou for some tea. But Jubbei had comforted him, telling him that he, Ginji, would be alright and come back. It was funny actually. He was the Lighting Emperor of Mogenjou, he had many followers and his four kings, yet, he felt…alone. His followers always had to protect the younger ones, fix his mess, fix troubles caused by fires, drowns or himself, and get enough food. And he was always to busy, lately, to play with the younger ones.

As for his four kings, Kazuki would always have faithful Jubbei by his side. For protection, for a small chat, for his help during battles or even just for a comforting silence. Shido always had his beasts around him, as well as Emishi. Despite all his saying he didn't like the Bloody Joker and saying Emishi…how was it that Shido put it? Ah, yes, Emishi "disturbed" his beasts. However, they all knew he cared more for the Bloody Joker than he let on.

MakubeX, the boy king, maybe he respected him but even he had Sakura by his side for companionship. It was actually strange that both Kakei's were the favorite, most trusted lackey's of two of the four kings rather than actual kings themselves. The fourth king, ah, well, he didn't really want to think much about him. As the leader of the VOLTS sipped the last bits of tea, the clouds started to dissipate and rays of sunshine were starting to appear and smear the windows of the petite café. Then, the bells jingled.

"Ey! You! Thunder boy! I told you at the Honky Tonk at eight a.m., not seven!" the familiar voice came from the door, making two soft chocolate brown eyes head towards it. There was a skinny brunette haired man, his icy blue eyes covered by purple shades.

"I'm aware of that Mido-san(1), I just came a bit earlier," Ginji answered. The skinny brunette went ahead and sat in front of the smiling blond. Then there, in one morning, the Get Backers retrieval service was born.

Well, that was that! Please, if you took the time to read this, you could review, right? right? RIGHT?

(1) At the beginning, that's what Ginji calls Ban...at least I think so
