Title: Kidz Kamp

Standard disclaimers apply (I don't own Sailor Moon blah blah blah). So, anyway, what can I say? It's slightly different than the real anime. Serena isn't as much of a cry baby as she is meant to be. She's a klutz, but not anywhere near as much as she is in the anime, mainly because it all annoys me!

Other changes:

- Serena doesn't know she's the moon princess

- Darien doesn't know he's Endymion

- None of the scouts know each other

- None of the scouts know they are scouts, if you know what I mean!

- Darien doesn't know Serena or the Scouts

text means thought!

So, anyway, on with the show! (or do I mean story?)

Kidz Kamp: Prologue

By Soph

The bus jolted to a halt and the blonde winced as her seatbelt dug into her neck. Why the hell do bus drivers manage to get their licence when they drive so crappy?Serena thought grumpily to herself. She made a grab for her bag before it fell into the isle. Too late. She reached down, unwilling to take off her seatbelt, when another hand claimed her white backpack.

"Here you are." Serena looks up and her sky blue eyes reach ocean navy ones. Immediately she is entrapped. Her eyes are stuck to the navy orbs like they are magnets. She shakes her head, as to clear it from cobwebs and takes her bag.

"Thanks." Serena whispers and smiles hesitantly at the boy, probably only a few years older than herself. She quickly takes in his appearance, jet black silky hair, beautiful dark blue eyes, what looks like a muscular body under the black t-shirt that barely encases his torso, blue jeans, neither too tight nor loose. He was defiantly fit. "My name's Serena. Serena Tsukino." She smiled brightly.

"I'm Darien. Darien Shields." He returned her smile. "So…you here to help out…I guess? I figure you aren't one of the kids?" He handed her her backpack and turned to face her.

"Yes, I am here to help, I'm going to be a tent leader. What about you?"

"I'm a group leader too. So I suppose we will get to know each other." He beamed another mesmerizing smile. "Have you ever been here before?"

"No. My mum's friend runs the camp, and she asked me whether I would help out, I love children, so said yes. I suppose you have been here before?"

"I used to go here as a child, and then, when I was too old go come here, I worked here. I've been at this camp, either as a leader or a kid for around five years now." He smiled again, although this time Serena knew it was forced. In his beautiful eyes Serena could see pain and suffering. It was obvious his childhood hadn't been as perfect as hers.

Just then, the bus doors opened with a whoosh. They were here.

"Good luck, Serena!" Darien smiled mischievously.

"What do you mean? Good luck? How hard can looking after a bunch of kids be?" Serena called to Darien's back, retreating to the from of the bus.

Darien turned around slowly, and, smirking, said in an adorable roguish voice, "you know you're going to eat those words later on." And with that, he stepped off the bus and into the sunshine, helping the bus driver take off all the bags in the luggage compartment.

Serena turns to the rest of the bus…and gulps. One girl is trying to pick gum out of her hair, two boys were throwing spit balls at some other girls. Everyone was shouting and wailing at one another. It was more like a zoo than a bus of six to ten year olds.

"I already am eating them." Serena murmers to herself.
