Disclaimer: I'm a freshmen in HS, what do you think?

The next day Bartro seemed pissed off and even shouted at Crow. Luckily the only thing he did was yell. So he didn't lay a hand on him, Pomma, or Crow.

After dinner Bartro had suddenly disappeared and it was now around 11:00 p.m. and he still hadn't shown up. It was also 3 days until the full moon.

Remus wandered around the house once again and found himself standing in the doorway of the room he met Crow in. Crow was in the room as well. He was sitting curled up on the left end of the couch, head laying on the arm rest.

"Crow?" Remus said softly. Crow jumped.

Crow was the one that got yelled at the most that day. Every time he said something to Bartro he had gotten yelled at and that caused Crow, at the end of the day, to be a nervous wreck. He looked and saw Remus and gave a small smile.

"Hello." He sighed.

Remus watched the young shadow cat.

"You okay?" he asked. Crow nodded as he walked over to him.

"I'm used to Lennix shouting." He told him.

"Yet it still leaves you nervous?" he commented, looking at him.

"I guess you can say that." Crow replied.

"Do you know where he is? Speaking of him?" Remus asked, sitting down.

"Oh… yes. He's at the Malfoy's." Crow informed him. "He had been there a lot before you arrived. Or, they would come here." He said, lowering his gaze to the floor.

"Do you know why?" he asked curiously.

"No. Neither does Lucius Malfoy's son… That or he doesn't care to listen." He was told.

"What makes you think that?" he asked.

"Because whenever they come, he always comes up to my room and talks to me. He says he thinks I'm interesting." Crow replied.

"Because you're a shadow cat?" Remus blurted out.

"No… I don't believe anyone besides Pomma and Lennix know… I'm guessing Pomma told you?" he asked.

"I asked her." Remus told him.

"Figures. Lennix wouldn't tell anyone." Crow shrugged.

"Crow… has Lennix ever hurt you in any way?" Remus asked the shy boy.

Crow tensed but shook his head, making Remus not believe him all the way but not push the matter any further.

"He'd never intentionally hurt some one." Crow told him. "I-" they heard the door open and close. Lennix was home.

They waited and finally heard Lennix's foot steps approach the room they were in.

"Crow, it's time for bed." Came Lennix's tired voice.

Crow mouthed good night to Remus, as he couldn't, at that moment, find his voice. Then he quickly left the room.

"I would like a word with you, Remus." Lennix told him. He went over and sat on the couch, next to the place Crow had been curled up. He took something out of his pockets and handed it to Remus. "Can you tell me what this is? I'm definitely sure you've seen it before." He stated.

Remus took the thing and noticed it was a ring. He looked at it and remembered Sirius having a ring like it… he said it was his family's crest.

"The Black Crest." Remus stated. "Why would you-" The wheels started turning in his head and he looked at Lennix. "You can't be a Black!" he exclaimed.

"I am. See, I was dropped from the Black Family line-age in a way… when I was born, I wasn't believed to survive the night. So, my family wanted nothing to do with me. No one knew that my mother had been pregnant for the 4th time, so it was easy." Lennix sighed.

"And you had survived… So what then?" Remus asked.

"Well, they said they adopted an orphan. They said that my mother couldn't produce a male heir so they adopted a baby boy instead." He shrugged. "If I died, they could say I had caught some disease while in the orphanage." He sighed again. "Little lies like that coming from a pureblood family who pays large contributes to the Ministry just go unnoticed."

"Is this what you wanted to talk to me about?" Remus asked.

"No. I had something else in mind to talk about." Lennix studied Remus for a few minutes before sighing. "Sirius had told me years ago that you were his lover." He stated. Remus opened his mouth to say something but Lennix held up a hand to quiet him. "3 years ago Sirius had fallen behind the veil, is that correct?" he asked Remus.

"Yes, it is." Remus nodded, voice quite strained.

"Sirius didn't die." Lennix told him.

"But-" Remus began.

"Hell didn't want him." he sighed. "You see, I have this old house. I used to live in it when I was married, but years ago my wife died and I had no use for the house. I still kept it however because something told me I would need it some day, and I did. Remus, Sirius is at that house at this moment, and that's not all." Lennix told him.

"I don't think I can take hearing any more." Remus whispered, trying to accept the fact that his mate was alive. "How is he?" he asked concerned.

"He's weak. He was almost dead when I found him. It's been 2 years since I found him and he's still recovering… Now, do you want to hear the second thing?" Lennix asked him.

"What is it?" Remus asked, worried it was bad news.

"It's not anything bad… Your godson, Harry, isn't dead either."

Getting hit with a brick was the only way to describe it. It was so startling. To find out two people who he had seen die infront of his own eyes were actually alive.

"Harry's perfectly fine. Infact, he's been helping me take care of Sirius." Lennix told him.

Remus couldn't take all the good news well. It was too much to take in. Much to much. He buried his face in his hands and began to cry.

Lennix watched Remus, knowing that he couldn't help him. He's done so much already. He sighed deeply and called Pomma.

"Master Bartro is calling Pomma?" Pomma asked him.

"Can you see if Crow is actually asleep? And don't startle him. He's a bit jumpy at the moment." Lennix requested.

"Pomma is on it, sir!" she said before poofing away with a loud crack noise.

"Lennix, what's going to happen if Lucius Malfoy finds out what you've been doing?" Remus asked, suddenly worried for Lennix's sake.

"He and Narcissa already know." Lennix replied.

"But what did he do when he found out?" Remus asked.

"Said that you three are my responsibility. Didn't really seem mad actually." Lennix replied.

A loud crack was heard and Pomma was in the room again.

"Master Bartro, Master Bartro's Crow is muttering in Master Bartro's Crow's sleep!" Pomma told him.

Lennix rose an eyebrow. Crow never talked in his sleep before.

"Very well Pomma. You may go to bed." He said and Pomma left. He got up from his seat and looked at Remus. "I'll be right back." He said before leaving.

But Lennix didn't come back for nearly an hour. All he did was tell him that Crow was sick and that he should go to bed before going to bed himself.
