This is my take on Rebecca's involvement in Season Two.

Warning: I hate her!

Sandy was pacing in his office trying to figure out how to give Max the news that his daughter was dead. He was still having a difficult time swallowing it. Sure she had been gone for all these years. But dead? His head was full of questions. Max walked in, looking chipper. He had the biggest smile on his face.

"Max," Sandy started, "I have something to tell you."

"No, I have something for you." Max said with an extremely large smile. With that Rebecca walked in the door. Her smile equal in largeness to Max's.

He stared in shock. "Rebecca? But…"

OoOoOoO

Where was he? It was getting late. Of course, he did have to tell a father that his daughter was dead. Still she couldn't sleep very well without Sandy next to her. She kept tossing and turning restlessly. She closed her eyes and tried to go to sleep but there was a coldness in the air she only noticed when Sandy wasn't with her. His warm body warming hers. She heard someone coming up the stairs. The door opened and in came Sandy, looking tired. His eyes trying to adjust to the dark. Kirsten turned the light on. Sandy flinched with the brightness.

"Hey!" Kirsten said as she sat up, rubbing her eyes. "How did Max take the news?"

Sandy looked ahead as he changed, perched on the edge of the bed. How could he put this? Oh hey she's not dead. She's back and she wants me to clear her name. So I'll be working with my ex-fiancé all day. "Honey..." Sandy said as he turned around to face her, "She's not dead." He said quietly. "She's here and…" He paused, "She wants me to take her case." He finished cautiously. He watched her face as it was evident with confusion.

She didn't know what to say. Deep down she didn't want Rebecca to be dead. She wouldn't wish that upon someone but… she didn't want her in town either. A red flag had sprung up as soon as Sandy had mentioned the name Rebecca Bloom. She had been shocked at the mention of her. Responding with "Rebecca Bloom? Love of your life?" He had retaliated, telling her that he wasn't aware that she had changed her name. But still, Rebecca had given her a complex from the beginning of her and Sandy's relationship.

"Is that okay?" Sandy asked, tenderly.

"Well, yeah. I mean," she paused, "if she's innocent…"

"She is." Sandy stated.

"Then she deserves a trial." Kirsten said slowly.

"Thanks, sweetie." Sandy said as he leaned over and kissed her cheek. "I just hope I can make the system see eye to eye with me."

"You are the best lawyer I know." Kirsten smiled.

"Yeah." Sandy said sarcastically, as he kicked off his shoes.

"I love you." Kirsten whispered.

"I love you, too." Sandy said, as he got into the bed and kissed her. Kirsten turned off the light and turned with her back up against Sandy's chest. He put his arm across her waist, his hand on her stomach. Soon he was asleep. Kirsten listened to him breath and felt his heartbeat against her back. She thought about the impending doom that was Rebecca Bloom. After twenty some years, Kirsten still didn't trust her. She decided, though, that she was too tired to think about Rebecca anymore so she pushed the thoughts of that woman out of her mind and relished in the warm of Sandy's body and soon she slipped into sleep.

Please tell me what you think.
