DISCLAIMER-I did not create Yu-Gi-Oh! Cries in corner, I'm only using the characters that are in it for this story. I made up a few of the characters that are in this story though.
This story takes place in Ancient Egypt. I wasn't sure how exactly they lived, so I made most of the life styles up.
DISCLAIMER- I also didn't make up ka (monster in a person's soul) or ba (Amount of energy in a ka) or heka (magic).
DISCLAIMER- I decided to use the priest's (Seto, Isis, Akhenaden, Shada, Siamun, Mahado, and Kalm) original names in here, and Pharaoh Atem, and Pharaoh Akhenamkhanen. I also used the names Bakura, The King of Thieves, and Diabound (Bakura's Ka). I also used the Millennium Items (Rod, Tauk, Eye, Ankh, Puzzle, Ring, and Scales.) in this story.
Warning: There is a scene of fighting and blood.
My Side of the Story
By: Pharoah's Spirit
I was working on my studies, when I heard a knock on my door. Master Tekamah looked to the door and sighed. He walked to the door and opened it. Two of the Pharaoh's guards were stood at our door.
"Pharaoh Atem is hosting a tournament at the palace. The tournament is for students who have trained ka." The first guard said. He was a large man, and seemed to be very strong, I didn't like him.
"The Pharaoh requests to have all of the names of the students so that we know whose coming." Master sighed again, then looked over to me and motioned me to him. I got up from my seat and walked to the door. The guards looked at me.
The second guard made a face of disgust at me. "Humph, a girl." My face turned red with anger. I wanted to tell him off so badly, but I knew that I might get arrested if I did. So I kept my mouth shut.
"What are your names?" the first guard said. Master looked at me, then back at the guards. I knew what he was thinking.
"My student's name is Mahan, and my name is Tekamah." Master replied.
"The tournament is being held on the last day of winter." The first guard said. Master did a slight bow, excusing them from our home. The guards did the same, and left. Master shut the door behind them, then looked to me.
"I know how you feel about this…" Master said to me. I sighed. Master put his hand on my shoulder. "….but you must go. You know your there to represent us." I walked back over to the table and sat down, master did the same.
"I just don't see how so many people think of him as a god, when he is a son of a thief and a murderer." I said. Master sighed.
"Yes, I know. But it will all soon be over." Master said, trying to reassure me. I smiled.
"Now, where were we?" Master asked, scratching his head. I knew he was trying to make me feel better, I smiled.
"We were talking about Ma'at, and how she confronted sinners with the millennium scales." Master nodded his head.
"Ah, yes. Ma'at. She was the original keeper of the millennium scales. When Ma'at confronted a sinner…." I had spent the rest of the afternoon learning with Master.
Then next day, master insisted that I practice using my heka. We stood outside, reciting the ancient text to summon my ka, Elna. I know it's a silly name, but that's the first name I thought of when I first found out about her. Tomorrow, I'm going to study more about my ka, alone that is. Master is to be summoned at the palace tomorrow. Though he won't tell me why….
