They meet in the locker room, quite by accident. He smiles at her, and she tells herself to stop thinking about him. The thought dies at the first touch of his lips to hers. The lab coat is rough under her touch, and she nearly lets her eyes flutter shut; the fluorescent lights above them reflect in the wedding band on her left hand.
She breaks the kiss, pushes him away. His smile falters. She suppresses a shiver as his lips grace her ear, "I'll see you tomorrow, Catherine."
A weak grin, and he exits, leaving her feeling strangely empty.
