"15 meters, sir."

Jack turns slowly, scans the area, spots the predator, and throws, catching the creature right between the eyes.

"O'Neill, how were you able to hit such a creature while not on your home world?"

"Yo-yo."

"Of course, because the yo-yo has a fixed mass, you can adjust to the gravitational differences by just practicing with it."

"I've been trying to get Hammond to issue these things to all of the off-world teams. He didn't take it too well. Maybe if you explain that mass/weight thing to him…"

"So, not part of the dumb guy act?"

Force Mass Acceleration

Weight(Yo-yo) Mass(Yo-yo) Gravity(any planet)

In the English system (used in America - ?) force and mass are both measured in pounds. In the SI system force is measured in Newtons, and mass in grams.

E-mail if you would like a more complete physics lesson, if enough people ask, I might even write about it.
