Want

Swords clang.

"This isn't what you want," Kadaj hissed sharply. Cloud grimaces. Yes, they both know this is the farthest thing from what he wants. But since Cloud is not in any way accustomed to getting what he wants, he has decided to not even try for this. It's impossible anyway.

Swords clash.

The blonde stumbles back as Kadaj tries to gain the upper hand by slashing at him while he's lost in thought. It doesn't quite work, but it does catch him off guard. "You should give up now." The silver haired teen is speaking again. "It's the only way you'll get what you want." It's not the only way, Cloud thinks, but it is certainly the easiest.

Swords fall.

And suddenly he is trapped. Cloud is a bit surprised that such a small boy can hold him down so easily. But, then again, he knows strength is not the only thing to it. He looks up, and is trapped by green eyes. Eyes he was never really able to forget…

Kadaj looks down at him, wearing that tight, arrogant smile that always manages to get underneath Cloud's skin. He doesn't respond for a moment, just lying still. Then, without a second thought, he pushes upward harshly, catching Kadaj off guard, crushing his mouth to the one above him.

It happens to fast, and their teeth click. Cloud can taste the copper metallic blood, but the boy doesn't pull away, sheer surprise holding him in his place. After a moment that seems like an eternity, Cloud breaks the kiss, lying flat again.

Kadaj look down on him again, but the smile is gone. "My, my, somebody's feeling bold today," he breathes, regaining the superior tone quickly. But there is still uncertainty in his eyes.

Cloud manages one of his half smiles…and then kicks. Finally free, Cloud dives for his sword, and has it at Kadaj's throat before he can even get up.

The teen should be scared, but he's not. He just laughs shrilly, like a gloating child. "You can't kill me," Kadaj says, still laughing.

"I'm what you want."
