Tezuka/Fuji, G, ficlet. Was melodrama, mixed with Maaya-humor, stirred, became odd.
a Border
by Maaya
----
When Syuusuke wakes and the house is quiet and he doesn't want to go up, but staying in the bed is like being lost and sinking. It is soft and warm and does absolutely nothing to interrupt existence.
When he lies in his bed after the alarm clock has been turned off and he feels his back ache from last day's practice, and the pain increases just because he has started to feel it.
When he finally slips his bare feet out from beneath the covers and knows that he will be just in time for morning practice.
When he is in the locker room, changing into his regular's uniform. The chatter from club-members around him wakes him up, Tezuka's glasses reflects the sun into his eyes, Eiji pats him hard on the back in greeting and Syuusuke knows enough to remove the yellow post-it note with large uneven letters forming the words hug me kiss me in English.
Syuusuke shrugs and sticks it back onto his jersey again because he thinks, he may just as well.
----
He feigns some idle surprise when, half-an-hour and many muffled sniggers later, Kawamura hesitantly reaches out to remove the note.
----
The rest of the day continues in about the same way as Syuusuke had anticipated. He gets home somewhat late, after club activities and cram school classes (voluntary history of literature), when the lampposts are just about to turn on the lights and the trains aren't quite as packed-out.
The house is as vacant as when he had left it.
Syuusuke gives in then, and calls.
Tezuka's voice is laced with something, which is hard to interpret but it may only be concealment all way through, without ground.
It loosens as they talk.
They are both clumsy when it comes to certain things.

Yet another piece of nothingness. Please bear with me, guys?
