Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha, which belongs to Rumiko Takahashi. I am not making any profit from writing this (though that would be nice).

If there was one thing Kagome had decided on her travels in Sengoku Jidai, it was that InuYasha was a very, very simple creature. I mean, the word described everything stupid thing he did!

He always had to make simple, little comments. "Oi, wench! Did you bring the ramen?" "No, you can't go home because I said so!" "We're supposed to be looking for jewel shards, stupid!" And these always caused their mundane fights that would ultimately upset her.

He always had to be a simple-minded idiot that would rush into everything without thinking! He would sniff something out and whoosh! There he goes again, a red blur hopping into the forest! Not only did this apply to those demon pests they fought on a regular basis, but also he never thought about her feelings when he went running off to Kikyou like a lost puppy!

However, there were also those simple actions. No matter how many times they argued, or the number of occasions that she would "Sit!" him in frustration, there was always something he did. Never big things, oh no. Always small little gestures, like a smile, holding her hand, and sometimes even wrapping her in a small hug… All of these would make her day in the end.

And while she thought of this, Kagome realized something…

She really, really liked things simple.

A/N: Well, this is the first thing I've ever posted here. Please tell me what you think; I'd appreciate it.

By the way, I'm not sure InuYasha even said those quotes in the second paragraph. I just wrote them because they seemed… InuYasha-ish. Oo
