Generations Of Hate

Chapter one:

The day was cold, depressing. A field of stone engraved statues and beneath them the buried flesh of those before me. My grandmother was to join them. She was a humble old woman, although she was called mad by most of those who knew her for her stories of the well on our family shrine. She would tell stories about an alternate world that would have demons, spells, danger, romance, adventure and worst of all my mother. Kagome Higurashi, that was her name. Died in childbirth from apparently not wanting to live anymore. From the stories I've heard since childhood she had fallen in love with a half-demon, Inuyasha who would have supposably been my father. He died about a week before my birth causing my mother much pain, I geuss she wanted some way to keep his presence naming me after him. None of this I believed, nothing that old hag said was true. It was just a mother ranting lies out of sorrow from the loss of her only daughter. That Is what I've always believed until that night, the night of my 15th birthday, the night of the new moon.

"Inuyasha!',..."Inuyasha!",..."INUYASHA!"

"AHH!" Inuyasha shot up from his bed panting out of shock. Slowly he brought his hand up to his face feeling the moisture from the stress given by the reacuring nightmare. As always he would shower and get dressed for school. He would walk out of the empty main house and wander around the shrine, at least until school started.

This heavy depressed feeling in his chest was growing stronger, probably because his birthday was tomorrow and his grandmothers death came a little too soon. He missed her, even though she would aggravate him with her constant talk of the hidden well, which Inuyasha thought wasn't hidden enough. He stopped to look upon the object his grandmother held so sacredly. That well, how he dispised it. So many times has he come across it and felt the disire to break it into pecies. Now, nothing was there to stop him. As he stepped closer to the soon to be pile of wood, he felt a chill run down his spine. His nose started to burn, he stepped back. His eyes shifted twards the sky as the moon was slowly falling into darkness. Tonight would be a moonless night.

"The night of the new moon" Inuyasha said watching as the remainder of the moon was devoured in darkness.

Suddently he felt a sharp pain in his chest followed by a high pitched ringing in his ears.

"Argh!" He yelled as he tumbled down the stairs, grabbing the edge of the well to keep from falling.

"Wha-What the hell is this!"

The pain increased, he gripped the edge tighter until the old board cracked in half. Losing his balance he fell straight into the well. Expecting a hard knock on the head he was surprised when he was surrounded by blue lights. The pain began to numb as he fell into unconsciousness.
