Wow you guys ROCK! Thanks Sam666 for giving me a good idea, lol. And now without further ado, chapter 5
Olivia didn't know where she was headed, just that she had to get the hell out of there. Three months? They had lied to her for three months, and to make it worse were screwing around while Elliot was still married. That alone made her sick to her stomach. All the times when Elliot was called to the district attorney's office was probably just an excuse for them to hook up in Casey's office. Cragen saw Olivia head towards the door and called her back.
"Olivia, come here a second."
She stopped dead in her tracks and spun around and wiped her face. "Cap I need to take some time."
"My office, now." He said seriously.
She took a deep breath and headed into Cragen's office and was surprised to see Casey and Elliot sitting there as well.
"What the hell…?" she muttered.
"Olivia, sit down and shut the door." Cragen ordered.
Olivia slammed the door shut and stood in the corner with her arms crossed shooting daggers at Casey and Elliot.
"What happened in the crib?" Cragen asked to anyone in particular.
"Nothing." Elliot said.
"Bullshit Elliot. The whole squad heard Olivia call Casey a whore, now you want to tell me what happened or should I just guess. No one is leaving this office until I get some answers."
All three looked down at the floor in defeat. Casey spoke first.
"Olivia and I had a disagreement."
Cragen looked over at Olivia. "One that left a red handprint on her face?"
"It's nothing Captain." Olivia told him putting her hand to her face covering the handprint. Elliot sank lower in his seat.
"Am I boring you Elliot?"
"No, I just don't think this is the time or place to discuss what happened upstairs."
"It became the time and place Detective when I have one of my best detectives and the Assistant District Attorney in a free for all up in the crib!" he yelled.
"Olivia found out that I've been seeing Casey for the last three months." Elliot stated flat out.
"Oh-ho you mean, you've been LYING to me for three months!" Olivia screamed at him.
"Casey you can leave." Casey got up out of her seat and hurried out of the office shutting the door behind her. "Olivia, take a seat."
Olivia did as she was told. "What?"
"I think I know what is going on here. You are jealous of Casey and Elliot's relationship because you think it will jeopardize your partnership with him."
"Cap you are starting to sound like Huang." Elliot cracked.
"I'm not jealous." Olivia said sinking down in her seat wanting desperately to be anywhere but there.
"Until further notice, Olivia you are with Fin, Elliot with Munch."
"But Cap…" Elliot protested.
"No buts, now get out of my office both of you. If you can't work in the same squad together then I'll have no choice but to transfer one of you out."
Olivia and Elliot got out of there seats and walked back out to there desks. Olivia grabbed her coat and headed for the roof. Elliot thought about following her but decided against it.
Instead he picked up his phone and called Casey on her cell.
"Hey it's me."
"Elliot, I really can't talk to you right now."
He lowered his voice. "I miss you. I need to see you tonight. Can you come over?"
Casey didn't say a word at first. Finally she answered him. "Okay, I'll swing by when I get through here."
"Thanks. See ya then." He hung up the phone and grabbed his coat.
"Hey tell Cap to call me if we get a case. There's something I need to go do."
"El, let her go man." Fin told him, knowing exactly where Elliot was headed.
"I can't do that Fin." He said before heading for the roof.
Olivia knew who it was from the time the door opened to the roof. She could sense his presence. He came up beside her and didn't say a word at first.
"This is my favorite place in New York. I can just come up here and think and be alone." He said in an attempt to start a conversation.
"Yeah being alone is why I come up here." She said bluntly.
"Look, Liv. I'm sorry okay. I'm sorry that we snuck around behind your back for three months, I'm sorry that I kissed you the other night. I don't want anything to ruin our friendship. You are my best friend Liv, and I really don't want to lose that."
She turned and looked at him. "I'm sorry for calling Casey a whore. I was just in shock. It hurts El."
"I know it does."
"So then why do it? I mean do you really love her or was she bullshitting me when she said that you told her that?"
Elliot rubbed his hands over his face and then stuck them back in his pockets. "I… yeah I mean I told her that, but I don't know Liv. I'm just so confused right now."
"What is there to be confused about? You either love her or you don't. It seems pretty black and white to me."
Elliot changed the subject. "Heh, can you believe that I have to be paired with Munch."
Olivia laughed. "Yeah, Cragen is pretty pissed off at us right now."
"Liv I don't want to lose what we have."
She smiled at him through tears she hadn't even realized were falling. 'I know Elliot. I don't want to lose it either."
"I really am sorry that I hurt you. That was never the intention. I mean with Casey it just happened. Neither one of us planned it."
"I know. Listen I'll talk to you later El." She touched his arm lightly and walked past him leaving Elliot alone on the roof. He looked down at his feet and then at the door that Olivia had just walked out of.
"Too bad I did lose you though."
Okay so that chapter had to be written. The next one brings back someone from the past to shake things up a little bit. I'll go ahead and tell you right now that it's not Alex. Youknow the drill, time to REVIEW. Let's see if I can't get 10 more added one here.
