Thanks again EVERYONE for all the great reviews. I have a lot of homework to do so this might be the last chapter for a few days. Anyways I felt that the writers could have done more with this character so that's why I brought him back. And here goes Chapter 6 sorry its so short.

Elliot stood on the roof a bit longer thinking before heading back inside. Inside he was surprised to see they had caught another case. This one was a major one considering who had come to town to work the case with the detectives. Elliot headed for Cragen's office.

"Hey Cap. What's going on?"

"We have a federal case Elliot. Richard White has escaped from prison and is supposedly headed here to Manhattan to settle the score with Olivia. The Brass brought Andy Eckerson back to protect her."

"The only protection that guy wants to give Olivia is under the covers."

"Jealous detective?" Cragen cracked a smile.

"No. Does she know that he is here?"

"She's at the hospital interviewing a rape victim with Fin."

'So I'm really with Munch?" Elliot scowled.

"For the time being until you and Olivia can stop acting like preschoolers."

"So how do the marshals know for sure that White is headed back here. I mean it's been almost seven years, maybe he forgot about Olivia."

"He told his prison mate, Tommy Michaels, that he was getting out to get rid of some NYPD bitch who put him behind bars." Andy said from behind Elliot.

"I can take care of my own partner Eckerson."

"No one doubts that .This is a federal case that's why I have been assigned to protect her."

"Cap we all know how Olivia feels about a protective detail."

Cragen raised his eyebrows. Just then the phone rang. "Cragen. Hi Olivia, yeah she did.. sure that sounds good…he just came back in a few minutes ago…see you back here."

He hung up the phone. "Olivia and Fin are headed back. The victim wasn't able to tell them much."

"I noticed that you didn't tell Olivia that I was back." Andy said.

Cragen chuckled. "I think I will let you handle that one."

Fin looked over at Munch who was talking to Elliot and another guy whose back was all they could see.

"Yo El. Can I talk to you a minute man?" he said rather loudly.

Elliot turned around as did the mystery man. Olivia almost fell out of her chair.

"Andy." She stated simply.

He smiled at her. Olivia got out of her seat and walked into Cragen's office wondering why the hell her ex was back in town.

"Cap what's Andy doing here?"

"Remember Richard White, Olivia?" She nodded. " He's escaped from prison and is heading here to take you out. For all intents and purposes he is probably already here. Andy has been assigned to protect you.

"Tell me that you are kidding me Captain."

"I wish I was Olivia. Until White is caught, Andy will be with you every second of every day."

"I don't want a babysitter. I handled White before, I can handle him now."

"This isn't up for discussion Detective."

"You mean I don't even get a say in all this?" she asked incredously.

"This came from higher up Liv. The best I can tell you is to just find a way to deal with it."

Olivia got up and slammed the door behind her. That got everyone's attention. Andy headed over to her desk and sat down on the corner of the desk.

"Look, Olivia, this wasn't my idea okay. I wasn't given a choice either. I know that I am probably the last person that you want guarding you, but we might as well make the best out of a bad situation."

"I'm going home." She got up and put her coat on. Andy began to follow her out the door.

"Let me take you home." Olivia looked over at Cragen who just nodded at her. She relented and let Andy take her home. Meanwhile Elliot was talking to Fin out in the hallway. Olivia and Andy walked past them without saying a word.

"See ya Liv." Elliot told her. She threw up her hand in a wave but didn't say anything.

"What the hell is going on with you and Liv, man?"

"She's royally pissed off about me and Novak."

"Yeah that was quite a scene earlier man. Are you and Casey really that serious or is this just like a one time thing?"

"At first it was serious, then Liv found out and now I don't know anymore."

"Who do you want to be with El?"

"I guess Casey."

"So you have no feelings for Olivia at all?"

"I'm not saying that…I… tell Cragen I'm sick and I'll check in later."

"Good luck partner." Fin told him. Elliot left and headed home.

Casey walked up the steps to Elliot's apartment building. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go in or not after the scene earlier. She was surprised to see him lurking downstairs waiting for her.

"Hey."

"Hi. I brought some Chinese in case you are hungry."

He grabbed the bag of food from her and looked inside and grinned. "Sesame chicken and fried rice. My favorite. Come on up and let's eat."

She followed him upstairs into the apartment that she had grown to love. Elliot headed for the kitchen and grabbed some plates and two beers from the fridge. Opening a beer he handed one to Casey and took the other one for himself.

"So guess who is back in town?' he said in an attempt to make conversation.

"Who?"

"Andy Eckerson."

"Olivia's ex, the marshall?"

"One and the same. Apparently a perp that we put behind bars seven years ago for murder escaped and is looking for her."

"El, maybe you shouldn't leave her alone."

He laughed. "She isn't alone. Andy was assigned as her protective detail."

"I bet she hates that."

"Yeah she almost took the door off the hinges to Cragen's office after slamming it."

"I'm sorry that I hit her El."

"I'm sorry too, about everything."

"So now what?" she asked him taking a drink of her beer.

"You tell me. Do you still want to be with me after everything that has happened?"

"I love you Elliot." Casey said flat out. " No matter what happens."

Across town, Andy was walking Olivia to her door when they noticed that the door was already open. They both drew there guns and were shocked at the site inside. On the floor surrounded by red roses was a young girl, who couldn't have been any older than Maureen, Elliot's oldest daughter, brutally raped and mutilated. In front of her lay a card with the message. "I'm back Dear Olivia, you are next."

"Holy shit." Was all that Olivia could muster at the moment. "He knows where I live."

Andy pulled out his cell and called the scene in. He reached out for Olivia who sat down on the couch and began to cry. She let him take her in his arms and cry in his shirt.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you Olivia. Over my dead body will something happen to you."

Elliot looked over at Casey and smiled. He wiped away a tear on her face with his thumb and pulled her closer to him.

"I can't promise you forever Case, but I can promise you today." He said simply before kissing her lightly.

Neither one of them noticed the phone ringing at first. Casey pulled away from the kiss.

"Aren't you going to get that?"

"No."

"Elliot come on. You know that you are on call 24 hours a day, answer the phone, I'm not going anywhere."

He picked up his cell and the mood quickly changed when he got the news over the phone of the location of his latest case.

"A dead girl was found at Olivia's apartment. White knows where she is." He told Casey.

"Isn't Andy with her?"

"Yeah he is the one that called it in. I've got to get over there. I'm sorry."

Casey smiled at him and kissed him again. "Go, I'll let myself out."

Elliot headed out the door and out to his car. He didn't notice that Richard White was parked in a car outside his apartment. Casey was still upstairs, his plan was working perfectly. If he couldn't get to Olivia then he would get to Elliot. Both of them were responsible for what happened to him and both of them were going to pay.
