Atonement of Tears
Crimson eyes open wide, as long sharp fangs were bared with an inhuman growl. Form hunched forward, as if beside yourself in pain. As That mesmerizing Chakura danced like flames trying to lick the already blood crimson moon. You no longer would call Yourself by the name that everyone had come to acknowledge. No longer could you fathom just the impact you had on people. A burst of colour into the darkness, just before it engulfed them whole. That brilliant crimson chakura curled into fine lines, that could just be made out. Behind all that raw power. I saw something different.
Your loss.
I'm sorry now, for all those years, that I didn't have control over. Your loss, so unbearable, that you hide it behind those pranks. Hated by children your own age, for a demon they couldn't fathom. For a monster that you led yourself to believe you were. As I see now, your rage filled blood red eyes, I begin to understand just how much you've lost. Those four tails curled behind you, as I can almost see that large grin, foxlike and monstrous.
Kyuubi.
Sealed within you, was the passion of such hatred for our village. We hated you for holding it, in their minds you fed from it like a parasite. Lower than the beast. But it wasn't your fault. So few understood that. I understood. You had no control over the Monster within you. I see that now. As you turn to look at me. Those thick lines of obsidian scratched across your cheeks, and large canines still holding a snarl. But it was your eyes that took me in. Bright vivid reflections of crimson blood curled in your hues, but pooling in the corners. Were the fresh start of tears. Rolling down your cheeks. Each droplet from your chin a sign of atonement. Who was really in control? You or the Monster?
Redemption.
You couldn't remember your name, as you're closer to the beast that didn't define you. I knew this day would come. But I couldn't help the shuttered whisper, that was fearful. I could admit to only me. I wasn't afraid for myself. But for you. You had lost your humanity, so we could be human. But before me right now, you're more human than I could hope to achieve, your passion for protecting others and now to acknowledge the name you could not remember.
" Uzumaki, Naruto. "
