Yugi had his head down on the kitchen table; he had fallen asleep working on putting together a strategy for his deck. A dream kept floating into Yugi's head that made him replay it in his head over and over again throughout the day. In this dream Yugi was on a stage, singing his heart out while his other half wrapped his warm arms around him and sang. The song would echo in his mind throughout the day, easing his troubles. A smile appeared on Yugi's sleeping face, in the dream they were reaching the climax of the song and with voices turning as one, dream Yami's face got closer and closer until it was to close and then their words and lips became one-
"Yugi, little light? Wake up Yugi." Yami said softly while shaking the small boy. " Yugi…wake up…" Yami placed his hand on Yugi's shoulder waiting for the young boy to wake up. Yugi's amethyst eyes opened and gazed hazily up at the man he was just dreaming about and smiled. Yami pulled the young boy to his feet and smiled back. " Yugi you better get ready, your school said its open house night tonight. Since your grandpa is out on business im gonna go with you." Yami said this carefree and softly, handing over Yugi his jacket. Their hands brushed against each other, eyes meet and Yugi's sweet smile edged across his face as he took the coat from Yami's hands.
They arrived at Domino High, both walking silently into the brightly decorated building. " Its beautiful…" Yugi whispered looking up at the lights that were hung around the hallways. Yami gazed over at Yugi was taken in by the sweet and beautiful appearance of the place; Yami was taken in by the innocence and beauty of a different thing. 'Yes you are…' the older pharaoh bit his tongue and looked up when he heard talking. Yugi smiled and waved at his teacher, Yami watched and wished, again to be holding Yugi, Yami couldn't stop; these feeling of want and need were talking over his whole mind. Yami watched his love and light walk into the classroom; he followed watching the younger boys face and smile. Then the teacher began speaking.
"Yugi is a very gifted young…wait…are you in my class? Yami? What are you doing here? Oh so anyway, basically Yugi gets distracted during class…and oh!" Yami looks over at the teacher, who is answering her cell phone; she shakes her short brown curls and hangs up. " Im very sorry my daughter just got terribly ill and I have to go. Yugi, sweetie can you lock up the class for me?" She said while picking up her brown jacket. Yugi smiled and said "Okay, bye Mrs. Settle" very kindly as she runs out. The two boys were alone again; both had feeling held deep inside, waiting to crawl out. Yugi smiled over at Yami and made his way to the door, he turned the key and felt a cold hand upon his shoulder, not looking up. Yugi had to tell Yami, it couldn't be a secreat it was real and he was going to say it.
" Yami…I…you…today.." Yugi stuttered as Yami pulled Yugi's little body closer into his chest. Yugi's voice trailed off. In his dream they had voices merging, now the silence was the only thing that spoke. The taller boy wrapped his arms around Yugi, placing his hand into the others. And Yami said, " I know." And places his lips to Yugi's cheek. " I know."
