She laid with him on the bed, their clothes making mixes of dark colors on the horizontal surface. Brown jacket, red shirt, green sheets, purple top... the colors a mish-mosh, a miasma of wonderful muted tones.

Their feelings were reflected in the decor of the room. After the excitement and hellishness of the days events, they felt kinda warm and fuzzy. Glad to be alive and lucky to be free. Their brains, not really able to deal with the stress and trauma of the past 24 hours at the present time, were currently repressing the pain and feeding them with endorphins instead.

He was sprawled out on the bed, she was curled up next to him, one arm around his chest. Looking at him lovingly, she whispered, "I love you, Otto." He looked down at her and smiled a warm smile. "I love you too, Katie Kathryn." She smiled at the nickname as he scootched over and planted a kiss on the top of her head. Cuddling into him more, wanting to be closer to his warmth and his softness, she closed her eyes and started to drift off towards a well earned sleep.
