A/N: Ok, this one is gonna be a little lighter than my other GW fic, and in my opinion I think it's one of my best. For anyone who has read the other one, i'm really sorry it's taking so long to update, but I haven't abandoned it. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own the show, but I do own the plot, Erin, and Kacy.

Chapter 1: It's Only Rock 'N Roll

Still trying to focus on her work after staring at the paper for a while, Erin James set down her pen once again. Inspiration just wasn't coming to her that day. Still, she persisted on, picking up her guitar in hopes of coming up with a melody. Suddenly, a strange wind blew and a figure appeared in front of her, looking at her desperately. "Come on, Erin. If you ever wanna get somewhere you've gotta pick up the pace. And you wonder why your music isn't doing as good as it used to." Although Erin couldn't see the young girl sitting next to her, she picked her head up in aknoledgment, knowing something was there. She looked around and, finding nothing, turned her attention back to the still blank notebook. Getting restless, the spirit scoffed in annoyance and dissapeared once again, determined to find a way to reach her. Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Melinda Gordon was sitting at the desk of her antique store waiting for customers. Her co-worker Andrea walked through the front door carrying a huge box, and Melinda ran up to help her. That's when she saw it. A girl, about 17, appeared in front of her. But it wasn't just a girl. It was a ghost. She looked at her closer and the ghost did the same, eyes widened. "Wait a minute. You can see me?" Melinda turned away and looked up at Andrea.

"Here, let me help you with that." She picked up the other end of the box and they began lugging it into the middle of the store, but were blocked by the girl.

"Don't ignore me! I already know you can see me, so why are you pretending you can't? It's pointless!" Melinda simply walked through her, bringing the box with her. The girl simply stared after her, jaw clenched, ready to attack. "Fine! I give up! I knew asking for help wouldn't work. Everyone's too wrapped up in their own work to pay attention to the ghost, even if they can see her!" She shot at Melinda, who was beginning to get frustrated. She turned to the girl.

"What do you want?" The girl just went right on with her deadly stare.

"I don't want anything. I need someone to help my friend."

"Well, what's your friend's name?" Just then, Andrea came up to them.

"Another one?" Melinda nodded.

"Yeah, and this one's got an attitude." The girl just rolled her eyes.

"Thanks so much." Melinda turned back to her.

"Now, what is your friend's name?" The girl let out a sigh.

"Erin James. She's a singer. She lives nearby and she really needs my help. Not only is her music not doing good but I think she might be in danger. Please, she needs your help."

"I've heard of her. She performed near here last year, didn't she?" The ghost nodded.

"Yeah, but her music isn't doing as good. She's just not into it anymore." Melinda nodded back in understanding.

"I'll do my best to help you both. By the way, what's your name?"

"Kacy. Kacy Black."

A/N: So, what did you all think? Please R&R. Feedback keeps me going, I don't care what kind.
