Draco Malfoy stood by the window in the Astronomy Tower, looking down at the grass below. He contemplated his life and what he had to live for. He hated being who he was and what he was supposed to become. He started to quietly sing to himself.

He had heard this song when he was in New York last summer with his parents. He went and saw the musical RENT while his parents were off doing "business". He immediately fell in love with the music from it and he bought the CD from the gift shop. He made sure that his parents wouldn't be able to find it or his portable CD player.

Now, as he looked over the school grounds, he really questioned whether someone would care if he just ended it all. He has been thinking about killing himself for a long time, but every time he would attempt to do, he would get a feeling that made him stop.

But now, there was no stopping him. The pain was too much for him to handle. He was tired of waiting for something good to happen to him when it was obvious that nothing would.

He stepped on to the ledge and took one final look at the sky before he took one foot off of the ledge. He pushed himself off with the other foot and let himself fall. As he fell, he felt an emotion he hasn't felt in such a long time.

Happiness.

He finally felt like he was going home. That was, until he felt a spell hit him and start to slow him down. When he hit the ground, he was still going fast enough to break a couple bones and knock him unconscious.

When Draco awoke, he was in the hospital wing. He remembered why he was in there and turned around and cried into his pillow. He didn't turn around when he heard who he thought was Madame Promfrey come by his bed. He just stayed like that.

He felt someone start to rub his back and he finally turned around to look at the person by his bed. He was surprised when he didn't find a nurse there, but a handsome boy with sparkling green eyes. The boy had tears running down his cheeks. He held Draco closely and Draco didn't protest to being held by his now ex- enemy.

Draco looked and simply asked, "Why?"

Harry smiled at him and said, "Because Draco, someone does care and you will wake up from this nightmare."

With that Draco went back into the embrace and laid there, crying quietly, until he fell asleep in Harry's arms.
