Do you remember the night we met?

You were so cold, so heartless.

But I saw something in your heart,

A stirring of emotions.

Back then, I didn't know you,

Or your dark past.

I loved you all the same.

Do you remember, our first days together?

All you did was push me away.

But I kept coming back,

And slowly, you let me into your heart.

As I learned secrets, it brought up memories,

Ones that you wanted to forget.

Though you kicked me out of your life,

I loved you all the same.

Do you remember, when you cared?

You, you, c ame to my rescue.

I had finally broken through,

To your heart of hearts.

And when the past was the past,

The present the present,

I was there.

Now that we've been together,

You are you, and though you

Are still cold and emotionless at times,

I know it's just your mask.

I don't care, because

I will always love you all the same.
