Forgotten

Chapter1

Tifa Lockeheart stood on the Highwinds deck, watching as meteors impact was absorbed by the planet. They had done it. They'd beaten Sephrioth and stopped him from destroying the world. It had been long, hard, and tiring, but they had finally done it. They probably would never had been able to stop him if it hadn't been for Cloud, being the strong leader he was.

Cloud…

He was stood with his elbows resting on the railings. While everybody else were below deck celebrating he had stayed to watch the last of Sephrioths plan be destroyed. No one could blame him after all, he had been through. Tifa stayed on deck too, not for any other reason but to be with Cloud. She had always loved him ever since they were kids, and would probably love him for the rest of her life

But he must never know that. For his heart belonged to another. Aeris

Shed just waltzed write into there lives at Clouds side. And Tifa hated her for it. Every one but her self had taken to Aeris right away. She had been funny, gentle, pretty… perfect. Too perfect for Tifa had always thought. But what she felt or thought did not matter. She walked up to were Cloud was leaning. He turned round to look at her with those shocking blue eyes of his as she approached.

"Hey Tif." He murmured

"Hey you okay?" Tifa asked. He looked strained and tired.

"I am know Sephrioths gone." He answered

"Yeah I bet you are…Cloud about what happened down in the crater after we beat him…" Cloud looked uncomfortable.

"Yeah sorry about that" he said. She had meant to say thank you for when she had fallen and he had caught her, but now she was confused. What was he sorry about?

"Sorry for what" she replied.

"For mistaking you for Aeris. When you were shouting me and were holding out your hand I thought you were Aeris." Tifa froze. She didn't know what to say. He had thought she was Aeris?

"Yeah for a moment there I felt really happy. Like waking up after a long sleep…ya' know?" He turned to look at her with questioning eyes. Tifa tried to take the look of despair off her face before he could see.

"You really love her didn't you " she somehow managed to force the words out her mouth. He turned to look back at meteor and didn't say anything. He didn't need to.

"Yo Tifa! You and spiky coming down here any time soon?" Barret yelled as he came up on deck.

"Sure Barret! Ill be down in a minute!" Tifa told him.

"I think ill stay up here a while longer," Cloud said as he straitened up to look at Barret. Tifa tried to catch his eye but he avoided her all together and turned back to look at meteor.

"Alright! Suit ya self spiky!" Barret yelled over his shoulder. "Come on Teef!" Tifa followed him but paused on the top of the stairs to look at Cloud. The light of meteor his golden hair and gave his eyes an extra glow, which to Tifa made him even more handsome than ever.

"Goodbye Cloud," she whispered. She took her last look and descended down into the celebrations, not knowing that Cloud stared at her departing back with a strange glimmer, other than the mako in his eyes.
