Author note: Haha, thanks for the reviews! I'm glad you guys loved it when Sage punched Madison, I loved it too!

Splinter soon pulled away and I stared with wide eyes.

"What in the hell?" I heard Spot yell. Splinter then put his arm around my shoulder as we turned to Spot who walked up to us.

"What's dis?" he asked, nodding towards us.

"We's is a couple, Spot," Splinter explained. I then gave him a questioning look, and he sent me one that said everything. We were going to trick Spot. I smiled and wrapped my arm around Splinter as well.

"Yup, do you have a problem with that?" I asked, smiling innocently. Spot glared intensely at us before getting closer to me.

"What did youse do ta Madison?" he growled.

"Well, isn't it obvious? I thought you were smarter than that, Spot. To answer your question, I punched her," I said.

"Why?" Spot yelled.

"Because, I told her to stay to out of my stuff, and what does she do? She meddles."

"Dat doesn't mean youse had ta break 'er nose!"

"I broke her nose? Yes!" I said excitedly.

"I'm warnin youse Matthews, if youse don't leave 'er alone then I'll-"

"You'll what? Hit me?" Spot glared down at me with so much anger, I thought he was getting ready to explode.

"Now youse listen hear-"

"No, I'm tired of listening to you! You know what? Go to hell! And take Satin with you!" I screamed, pushing him out of my way. Splinter soon followed me like he was getting ready to cheer me up; that is what couples do, right? I could feel Spot's stare burning into my back as I walked away.

As soon as we were out of sight, Splinter began to laugh.

"I'm sorry, Sage," he said. "But Scout made me do it. Maybe if we keep dis on for a little longer den Spot will go crazy!" I smiled.

"Of course; I love seeing him in pain," I said, selling a pape to an elderly man.

For the rest of the morning I sold papes with Splinter and Scout, talking about how much we hated Madison. Just as we were done selling, a familiar voice caught us off guard.

"Heya ladies…and Splinter." We all turned around and grinned at Jack. Scout immediately ran to him, and threw her arms around his neck. Jack laughed and hugged her back.

"So, have youse been misbehaving?" he asked.

"As always," Scout replied. Splinter and I shrugged as we walked with them to the restaurant. We all walked in, smiles and all, but mine soon faded away as soon as I seen Spot sitting at our regular table…and Madison was sitting in my seat! I clenched my fists in anger. Splinter glared at Spot and led me over to a different table with Jack and Scout.

We all sat down and began to talk, and I saw crooked-nose looking over at us. Scout must've seen her too, because she said,

"Watchya lookin at crooked-nose?" Jack looked over to see who she was talking to, and burst out laughing.

"Whoa, what happened ta dat goil?" he asked.

"Sage punched 'er," Scout said with a shrug. Jack raised his eyebrows in amusement.

"So dat's Madison?" he asked, looking over at her with a disgusted look. Scout and I nodded as Satin looked back over here. Scout waved at her like they were best friends. Madison glared at us, mainly at me, and whispered something to Spot. Spot snapped his gaze over to us.

"Heya Spot!" Jack called, getting out of his chair and walking over to the Brooklyn leader. "How's it goin?" he asked, spitting into his hand and shaking with Spot.

"Not bad, Jacky-boy? How's it with youse?" Jack shrugged and glanced back over at our table.

"Everythin is good," he smiled. Madison eyed Jack with interest, and put on her "charm."

"Hello," she said, holding her hand out to Jack. Jack stared down at it for a minute before actually spitting into his hand and shaking hers. Madison looks at her hand with disgust, and then wipes it on a napkin.

"Jack, dis is me goil Madison," Spot introduced her. "And Madison, dis is me best pal Jack." Jack scratched his nose and stared at her crooked one.

"Youse might wanna get dat fixed," he said. Madison looked away in embarrassment, and laughter from me and Scout was heard all over the restaurant. Spot shook his head and glared over at me. I smiled innocently and high-fived Scout.

Scout then noticed Madison looking Jack up and down as if she liked him. Scout's face turned red from anger and stormed over beside Jack.

"Heya Jack, isn't youse gonna come order?" Scout asked, leaning against Jack. Jack grinned stupidly.

"O'course I am," he said, kissing Scout's cheek. Madison glared at Scout as she grabbed Jack's arm and literally dragged his ass back over to our table.

"Little miss shit head over there was givin youse googly-eyes," Scout said, taking her seat beside me. Splinter and I laughed as a waiter approached us.

"What can I get you?"

"Uh, dat lady over there is buyin our food," Scout said, pointing over to Madison.

"Yeah, it's me birthday," Jack said. I began to laugh as the waiter nodded and wrote down our orders. As soon as our food came we began to ate, and finished before little Miss Priss did. We all got up and hurried out of the restaurant.

"Aw man, I wanted ta see da look on 'er face when da waiter tells 'er dat she's payin for us," Scout said. We all laughed as we made our way to the Lodging House.

We were all sitting in the main room, waiting for Madison and Spot to return. As soon as we heard the front door open and slam, Splinter and I grabbed each other's hand and sat really close to each other. I put on a fake smile and we all pretended to laugh at something Scout said.

"Dat's so funny Scout!" Splinter said, looking at me. It was even funnier because Scout didn't know what the hell was going on and responded with,

"What? What'd I say?" We all laughed harder as Spot and Madison appeared in the doorway.

"Scout!" Spot growled.

"What?" Scout asked, looking innocent. "What in da hell did I do now?"

"I know it was youse who told da waiter dat Madison was payin for yer food!" Spot said. Madison backed up as Jack walked up to Spot and patted his back.

"It's okay, Spot. Sometimes Scout doesn't know where she's at." Everyone soon broke out laughing, and Spot and Jack gave us odd looks. Scout pointed above them, and they looked up.

"Aw man, who forgot ta take da damn mistletoe down?" Spot growled. I looked around like I didn't know. Scout grinned at me as Spot and Jack quickly hugged, and then pushed each other away. The two of them stepped away from the doorway, and Spot went back to his attitude.

"I think each of youse owe Madison an apology!"

"Okay, Madison, I'm sorry dat I wasn't there ta see Sage make yer nose crooked!" Scout said.

"And I'm sorry that you're a stuck up brat," I said. Jack and Splinter then burst out laughing, as Spot's face turned red from anger.

"Listen, youse idiots, if youse don't apologize den I'm kicking yer ass," he said to Scout. "And I'm kicking youse out!" he said to me. I flinched and stood to my feet.

"Oh, so you're going to kick me out? Go ahead, I mean, I'm going back to California anyways!" I said. Spot apparently wasn't expecting that answer, because I seen a tint of hurt in his eyes.

"Yeah, and if California don't want 'er, den we'll take 'er," Scout said, putting her arm around my shoulder.

"So Spot, its yer choice, 'cause neither of 'em are gonna apologize," Jack said, crossing his arms over his chest. Everybody stared at Spot like it was the end of the world. He kept his eyes on me as if he were thinking.

"Pack yer bags," he said to me. "Yer leavin tanight." Everybody became dead silent.

"Wait, Spot, youse can't kick 'er out. It was my idea, not hers. She had nothin ta do with it," Scout defended me.

"I don't care!" Spot growled. "She's caused enough trouble with Madison, and its 'bout time she starts ta take care of herself!" I stared at Spot in disbelief. Was he not the one who practically begged me to stay? I took a few steps backwards, away from Spot. He watched my every move. His eyes bore into me, and all I could see was hate in his once peaceful eyes. I looked at Scout who also had a surprised look on her face.

"Dat's a little harsh, Spot," Jack said, glaring at Spot.

"Fine den! Sage don't need youse! She has the Manhattaners!" Scout said. I still made no movement as I stared at Spot with disbelieving eyes. He turned around and walked away, taking Satin with him. I bit my lip as my head hung low.

Sage-" I shook my head before Scout could say anything.

"I…I guess I should go pack," I said, walking up the stairs and to my room. I found a small bag in the closet, and put all of the shirts, shirts etc. in it. I didn't care if it belonged to other people; they're the idiots who left them. I grabbed whatever else I had and carried the bag downstairs. I looked down at the front desk and saw something.

It was a letter, addressed to me. I picked it up and studied the handwriting. It was from my father. I shoved the letter into my pocket at Scout and the others entered the foyer.

"Youse can live with us, Sage," Jack said. I sighed deeply and nodded.

"For now I will." Scout and Jack gave me odd looks as I called for Chance. He ran from the kitchen and barked happily.

"You stay here with Skip, alright?" I said to him. Chance tilted his head as if to ask me why. "Aw, Chance. You know I can't take care of you. Skip seems to be better at it than me. Just stay out of Spot's way. And if he kicks you out, you come find me!" I said, rubbing his head. I stood up and walked towards the door.

I looked back at the foyer and staircase one more time as the boy's room opened. Spot walked out and stared down at me. I'm pretty sure he could see the hurt in my eyes as I stared back at him. I then shook my head.

"Best friends," I whispered, loud enough for the both of us could here. I turned around and left, tears wanting to fall. But I wouldn't allow it. Not for Spot.

Spot's P.O.V

I watched the door close as Sage left, and sighed deeply. Why in the living hell did I just do that? Madison soon walked out and smiled at me.

"I must go see my father, Spot," she said, kissing my cheek. I gave her a weak smile as she walked down the steps. "I'll be back later, though." And with that said she left. I turned back around and walked into the room. Spark was lying on his bed, reading some book.

"So," he started. "How's life with Madison?"

"Perfect," I said. Spark chuckled as he slammed the book shut.

"Youse is an idiot, youse know?" he said. I sent him a glare. "Youse seriously don't get it, do youse?"

"What are youse talkin 'bout?" I growled. Spark got off his bed and stood in front of me.

"Lemme inform youse on life, Spot. Youse don't know da difference in wanting something, and needing something. Youse may think dat youse wanna be with Madison. But dat's jus' it. Youse "want" ta be with Madison, but youse don't need 'er. She ain't gonna be da one wipin away yer tears, and tellin youse how much she loves youse." Spark stopped and took a deep breath.

"Now, Sage is different. Youse is tryin ta make yerself believe dat youse don't want 'er, but deep down inside youse "need" 'er. Get what I'm sayin? Sage will be da one youse miss out on, and youse will find out dat youse wasted yer life with a prissy-ass snobby whore, when youse coulda had someone who'd be there for youse when youse is down. Sage cares for ya, while Madison jus' thinks she looks good with tha leader of Brooklyn. I mean, look at Madison. She's afraid ta fight with youse, and Sage ain't. Now, do youse want a goil dat's scared of youse, or one who ain't afraid ta tell ya what dey think?" I tilted my head.

"I don't have feelins for Sage," I said. "Da kiss meant nothin to me; neither of 'em." Spark shook his head.

"Fine, live yer life with a woman who cowers in da corner thinkin dat youse is gonna hit 'er, udder den livin with a woman who stands up to ya and knows youse won't hoit 'er; because dat's how good couples are, dey trust each udder. And most of all, dey love each udder." And with that said, Spark left the room.

I placed my head in my hands. Damn it, what have I done?
