Leave us, Gourry." the swordsman blinked in puzzlement but, as always, followed Lina's directions. Xellos smirked up at the sorceress from where he was bent over, clinging to his staff with a little more desperation than usual.
"Why Lina, that wasn't strictly necessary. I-"
"Your astral form is showing, Xellos." Lina interrupted, her hands on her hips and a deadly serious expression on her face, "And you've been leaking dark magic all over the countryside. You're dying, aren't you?"
The Mazoku laughed nervously and shrugged beneath his robes, "Ah, you've figured it out. How perceptive of you."
"Now, here's the real question of the hour- your illustrious, millenia long career of terror and destruction is finally coming to it's end- so why did you come to see me?" she narrowed her eyes and folded her arms across her chest. Xellos opened his eyes and raised his head to meet her demanding gaze.
