Phase-1: Blush (Attraction)

They called me an idiot. They said I was a fool and that I was putting the crew in potential danger. They'd roll their eyes upon realization that I wasn't even a real soldier of the EA military and dismiss their ideas about punishment. I was just some kid; I didn't know any better.

There was an escape pod floating idly in outer space. What was I supposed to do? It was probably nothing (or no one) of any real significance, anyway. But there was no way I was just gonna leave it there.

There was a dull roar of mumbled cursing, nervous chattering and guns being cocked. Murdoch shot me the evil eye and grumbled something about me having a death wish, and then called everyone to attention as he began to pry open the escape pod.

And as everyone held their breath in anticipation and aimed their guns in defense, out floated a round pink robot.

I stood utterly dumbfounded. The guns went down. Was this a joke?

But then there came a voice. The clear, singsong voice of an angel.

"Thank you so much for rescuing me!"

And there she was. She floated weightlessly out of the pod with a grateful and innocent smile on her face. Pale pink hair framed her small body almost in its entirety, and her eyes were bright and sky-colored. She looked on at all of us as she floated while we stared in awe and surprise for several moments.

I snapped out of my trance finally and reached out to her. She took my hands and gently I pulled her down to the ground. She looked at me and smiled, thanking me. It was as if I'd just plucked her down from Heaven itself.

I must have been blushing.
