Catherine pulled up to his townhouse, marching angrily to the front door.
The moment he opened it, looking completely innocent, she stepped in.
"I can't believe you forgot! You do realize how important this day is-"
Then she saw the flowers. And the chocolate. And the candles.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Cath."
"Oops." She grinned sheepishly. "Forgive me?"
"Maybe."
She kissed him.
"How about now?"
"I think I might be able to manage."
