Reflections on Last Moments
Time stops for no man,
Nor any woman;
Yet time will stop anyone.
As my time runs out,
I will continue to smile,
Because I am with you.
Guilt, I know you feel it,
You hide try to hide it;
Guilt for stealing my time
But you cannot steal this
As I have freely given it
No matter how you blame yourself
I hope you realize someday
This was my choice
I hold no regrets
These final moments
Sitting here, simply
Our hands entwined
If I live a thousand lives
This moment with you
