Trails of Kisses

Misa bought some chocolates for Raito.

It felt a little weird, because Misa used to believe that it was the guy in the relationship that had to buy the chocolate, but she knew that Raito was probably not going to leave the investigation room today despite it being Valentine's day, so Misa took the initiative to buy some chocolate, so she can at least share some sweets with her sweetheart.

Although she thought it was strange that her shopping bag felt lighter, she didn't bother looking as to why because she thought it was just her imagination. No one said anything to her either. She took in a deep breath, preparing herself for seeing her beloved Raito, and then opened the door to the investigation room.

"Happy Valentine's day!" Misa squealed, just as she rehearsed in her head. She skipped over to where Raito and Ryuuzaki were, and gave Raito a flirtatious hug and kiss on the cheek. Pulling out her bag of chocolates, she said, "Misa bought some chocol… oops."

In the bag, there was a hole and the Hershey kisses that she bought formed a trail through the entire hotel floor. She grinned sheepishly, and was about to apologize and clean up the unintentional mess until Ryuuzaki stopped her.

"It's alright Misa," he said, with a tone that she was unfamiliar with. She was tempted to say it was a loving tone, but she didn't want a loving tone from Ryuuzaki—she wanted that tone from Raito, and today of all days!

She huffed. "No, it's not alright—"

"I kiss the ground that you walk on."

Ryuuzaki's statement confused her. "What?"

"I kiss the ground that you walk on," he repeated. Pointing to the floor, he explained, "Those are Hershey kisses, right? They're on the floor. Get it, Misamisa? I kiss the ground you walk on? The chocolate fell from behind you, so…"

Misa just giggled at his joke.

The End

I do not own Death Note; sorry for the awkwardness with this story - it was kinda rushed.
