Troubled
Yet another eventful day of fighting off demons is over and the Sanzo party has found a place to stay in a small city.
"Small place," Gojyo commented as he threw his shirt onto one of the two double beds.
There was a small, dusty window on the right, two double beds where crammed into the tiny space so that there was hardly any room to move around and a single nightstand stood between the two beds.
"Shut up," Sanzo warned. "Gojyo, you're bunking with Goku. I'm with Hakkai."
"The hell i'm not!" Gojyo shouted, earning a whack from Sanzo.
"I'll kill you," Sanzo growled, pointing his gun at Gojyo's nose.
"Okay, Okay, calm down, priest," He raised his hands.
"Damn, I'm hungry," Goku whined.
"Stupid Monkey!" Goku yelled.

"You... you've been calling out to me. I'm here now so you can stop," Sanzo said, standing outside Goku's cage.
For the first time in his life, someone had reached out their hand to him and offered him freedom. For the first time someone showed kindness to him. Someone that he felt instantly connected to... Sanzo.
"Goku! Get out of here!" Sanzo ordered.
"Sanzo! Look out!" Goku watched in horror as a demon came up behind Sanzo, slicing through him with a long, pointed knife.
"SANZO!"

Goku opened his eyes slowly, looking around he room nervously. Sanzo, Hakkai and Gojyo were all soundly sleeping in the dark, quiet room. Or so he thought.
Sanzo, being the type of person to not trust anyone or anything, was wide awake staring at the moon beside Hakkai who was dead to the world.
Goku felt tears spring to his eyes as his dream started to come back to him. Would it come true?
He turned to face Gojyo who had a peaceful expression on his face and buried his face in Gojyo's chest, making him wake up.
"What the hell? What are you doing you damn..." Gojyo began shouting. His voice softened, however, when he heard Goku sobbing. He placed his arms around hiim and said,
"Goku?"
"G... get... S...S...Sanzo..." Goku whimpered.
Gojyo felt someone standing over them and glanced up to see Sanzo standing there with an annoyed expression on his face.
"I heard you two. Gojyo, I'm switching places with you, get up." He demanded, irritated.
Gojyo got up and tiredly slid into bed with the still sleeping Hakkai, drifting off into a deep slumber almost instantly.
"What happened?" Sanzo demanded .
"Sanzo... I'm scared." Goku replied between sobs.
Sanzo inched closer to the boy and said softly, "Of what?"
Goku looked up at him with large eyes and answered, "Losing you."
Sanzo had let his tough exterior down and softened, pulling Goku against him comfortingly.
"You won't, Goku. I'm not going to die. We have to make it to the west."
Goku was pulling at Sanzo, clutching onto him tightly, trying to get closer to him.
"Don't leave," He moaned as Sanzo's grip tightened.
"Sanzo? Goku?" Hakkai's tired voice sounded from the opposite bed. "What are you two doing?"
He noticed them cuddling together and walked over silently. kneeling on the bed, he placed a hand on Goku's forehead, "You alright?"
"Nightmare," Sanzo muttered.
By this time, Gojyo was also awake and sitting on the bed. Hakkai crawled next to Goku and Gojyo next to Hakkai. Hakkai wrapped his arms around Goku's waist and cuddled close to him as well while Gojyo sat, watching with sad eyes. 'Poor kid' he muttered to himself. If every night is gonna be like this, it'll drive me mad.
.Silence. All were asleep within the hour.
Gojyo: What the hell?
Sanzo: I'm going to kill you.
Goku: Got any food?
Hakkai: I liked it!

Gojyo: Hey there, what are you doing later?
Goku: Huh?
MrsJennKenobi394: Sorry, Gojyo, but I'm more of Hakkai or Sanzo's type.
Gojyo: What?
