a/n: yeah I felt in the valentines mood so I wrote a one shot
Valentines Magic
A Valentines dance was held at the academy. We had to go. Our sensei's made use. They don't take no for an answer you know.
So here was all the rookie ninja's. Some wee dancing while blushing like mad. Some just came for the food. I'm wearing a black and white suit. Don't know why I came though, I think me being an optimist was the cause. The names Uzumaki Naruto, and I've never had a Valentine in my life.
So I've been sitting here for ten minutes, bored to death when the door opens. A pink haired girl came through, she was wearing a red dress, spaghetti strapped and frilled at the bottom. I whistled, damn she looked good.
She walked by me, I asked her if she wanted to dance. About to answer when she noticed our dark-haired teammate. I sighed, I know it's clear that she likes him and not me. But, I don't know I guess I just like her. For reasons I can't think of.
I get up and leave, it's now 10pm. I've been sitting here for four hours now. Maybe I'll get some ramen.
I headed through the door as I lightly brushed some one, I mumble a sorry not even bothering to look up. The person gasped but said nothing.
I sat down at the ramen stand and ordered some bowls. Someone passed by me, I could see they were heading to the Yamanaka flower shop. Maybe he was getting some roses for his girlfriend? Either way it didn't matter. I didn't know the person, at least I don't think I knew the person. I wasn't really looking.
I started walking home when a rain drop hit my nose. It sent slight shivers down my spine. Why in blue blazes would it rain on Valentines day? Oh well, I'm no one to question Mother Nature.
It started pouring and I was in the middle of getting drenched. I was half way home and thoroughly soaked to the bone. And I don't think I'm kidding when I say that. I passed and umbrella. I was going to leave it when I saw a small note attached.
It read: To, Uzumaki Naruto

Remember two halves make a whole

I finished reading as a shadow disappeared. Two halves make a whole? What was that suppose to mean? I looked at the umbrella. It was pure white, picking it up I left for home.
I slammed the door closed. Shaking my head droplets of water shooted everywhere.
There was another present on the table. It was a pure white flower, the stems were spiraled. I read the note beside.
Attached the flower to the umbrella
Deciding to put the flower through the bottom of the umbrella. The flower went all the way up and stopped. Nothing happened, confused I looked at the letter again.
Push a little chakra
Grabbing the stem of the umbrella I pushed a small bit of my chakra. Small designs started to appear.
The umbrella had red rose petals, at the rim of the umbrella words started to appear.
A secret lover, A shy girl forever, I ask this one time, Can I be your Valentine?
A smile appeared on my face. The scent of creamy vanilla was on the presents this girl left.
I ran out the door determined to find who she was when I ran in to someone. As we fell to the ground, I helped her up. It was Hinata, I apologize to her she blushed and looked somewhere else.
There was a scent of creamy vanilla as Hinata left. Wait….creamy vanilla? I called her to wait, she looked back expectantly.
Now what? I have her attention….so now what? I ask her if she wants to have something to eat. She smiles and blushes nodding slightly.
It rained that night, all day. But the rain washed away my blind crush for a girl I don't have a reason to like, to a girl I have every reason to love.
Hey, this is true love….think that happens everyday?
