Metroid 7: Deception

Chapter 1: Court Hearing

Samus sat in the court room, still in her suit that she had got from absorbing SA-X, awaiting the verdict from the jury. She had been charged with defying orders on BSL by destroying the station and all the X Parasites on the station and on SR388. She had claimed she was acting for the sake of the universe and that by letting the troopers and scientists onto the station, she would be endangering the entire galaxy.

The jury had reached a decision. "Guilty!" the leader of the jury announced. Samus couldn't understand it. She had potentially saved the entire universe and yet she was now deemed a criminal? This was pathetic she thought to herself.

The judge spoke slowly with a deep voice. "Samus, in light of your previous success we will allow you stay a member of the Galactic Federation. However, if there are any more... uhm... slip-ups, we will have you booted immediately. Understand?"

Samus' rage had peaked. She gritted her teeth, but mumbled an affirmative response.

"Court dismissed," the judge declared.

Samus returned to her ship. The computer rebooted and started talking to her. "So what happened in there, Lady?"

"I can't let anything like the BSL incident happen again. I'll lose my job if I do," Samus replied, almost in tears.

"That reminds me. According to recent data reports, the Space Pirates have established a base on the planet Tallon IV. Do you know anything about this planet?" Adam asked.

Samus sure enough did. She had been to Tallon IV once before. It was one of two planets she had visited that she hadn't destroyed. The last time she visited, a lot of the area had been transformed due to Phazon radiation. It was there that she defeated the organism known as "Metroid Prime" and shut down a Space Pirate operation using Phazon to genetically enhance many creatures, including themselves.

The ship took off and headed to Tallon IV.
