Summary: Liv comes to Alex's conference, and falls asleep. OA

a/n: snow day! Thought I was too old for these :P
disclaimer: they're not mine. But I do own some hotdogs. So there.

Liv lay back on her couch as the hand drifted softly down her front and lifted the edges of her shirt. A second hand joined in the caress and Liv lost herself in the sensations. Lips soon joined the hands, and then slowly travelled upwards. After a long, sensuous kiss Alex looked her deep in the eyes and said,

"Wake up."

"Bnuh?" Liv mumbled, blinking.

"I said wake up, you were going to start moaning any second," Alex whispered from the seat next to her. Liv tried to hide her blush and glanced around the bland conference room. It didn't look like anyone else had noticed, but then it's hard to tell with cops and lawyers.

"I am never playing poker with any of these guys," she said. Alex smiled and kicked her softly in the shin. Liv didn't even bother to glare at her.

"Wow that was boring," Liv said once they were out on the street.

"Well, you didn't have to come to this conference," Alex pointed out.

"But I wanted to," Liv wished she whispered into Alex's ear, but she didn't. Instead she just moved closer to her at the hotdog stand, pretending to look over the sausage selection. So close that Alex had to lean back to see Liv in the eye. It was then Liv realized that she'd missed something,

"What did you say?" she asked.

"Where are you today, Liv? I asked you what you wanted on your hotdog," Alex said, two dogs in her hand.

"Oh, just relish me."

"What?"

"Sorry, just pile on the relish," Liv said, doing her best not to blush. She could feel the tips of her ears burning. Alex smiled, a little sparkle in her eye,

"Sure," was all she said.

They found a bench in the nearby park and finished their hotdogs.

"When do we have to be back?" Liv asked.

"Not for another ten minutes," Alex said, and then she shivered as the wind picked up. She shifted closer to Liv.

"You're always cold," Liv teased.

"Or maybe I just want to be closer to you and it was a convenient excuse," Alex said, staring straight ahead. Liv's eyes went wide and she turned to look at Alex. All the air left her body and hope rose in her heart. Alex looked directly into her eyes and smiled at her.

"What were you dreaming about Liv?" Alex asked her point blank. For once her courage didn't fail her,

"You," Liv said. Alex's eyes were sparkling like diamonds and she reached for Liv's hand. Liv ran her thumb along Alex's hand and just tried not to grin like a lunatic.

"What was I doing?" Alex asked. Liv blushed again, causing Alex's smile to grow, "I've never seen you blush, Liv. Now that's three times in one day," she said, tilting her head closer, "tell me about your dream," she said softly.

"Well, um…we were prepping for a case, and we got a little…distracted."

"How?" Alex asked. Liv sucked in her breath,

"I said you were beautiful."

"You think I'm beautiful?" Alex asked, surprised. Liv nodded,

"The most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Then you leaned in close like this," Liv said, moving closer, "and we start kissing,"

"Like this?" Alex asked, claiming her lips. The rest of Liv's story was lost as her dream came true.

Several minutes later they just sat, leaning happily on each other.

"Looks like it's time to head back in," Alex said, observing the stream of people passing them.

"I gotta say, this is the best conference I've ever been to," Liv said, pulling Alex up with her. They walked away from the bench, hand in hand.

"I've dreamt about you too," Alex whispered into her ear.

"Really? What was I doing?" Liv asked, intrigued. Alex winked at her,

"I'll show you tonight."

The End :)
