Author's Note: I wrote this one today... it was one of those random inspirations. I was listening to the song that the story is named after, & it just kinda came to me... yup.
Title is from a song by Coheed & Cambria.

She
ran with lightning fast speed. Only one thing was on her mind:
defeating the enemy who was after Roy's' life. No matter how
tired, or sore, she got, Riza refused to stop.
For
weeks, a woman had been after the Colonel's life. According to
Edward Elric, this woman was known as "Lust", and she wasn't
human. She was a Homunculus.
At
the moment, Roy was safe. While Lust was searching through Central
for him, he was hiding out in Risembool, with the Rockbell family.
Riza had taken it upon herself to go after the woman, so Roy could
return to Central, and fight the bigger ongoing problems.
Noticing
that the woman in the black dress had stopped, Riza stopped as well.
That's right, she thought, agitated. Stop running from
me… I will defeat you, for Roy.
"So…"
Lust spoke. "How long do you plan on chasing me for? You must be
tired."
It
was true, and was evident by her heavy breathing. "Yeah, well…
the same goes for you."
Letting
out a small, snide laugh, Lust turned to face the blonde. "You're
very ignorant, aren't you? I'm not as feeble as you… I don't
get tired."
Eyes
widening, Riza felt her hopes begin to die out. "Then…" she
muttered, raising her gun. She fired a shot into the Homunculus's
head.
That
can't be…
Lust
simply stood there, with her head bleeding, smiling.
Riza
only felt the pain of Lust's extendable nail for a split second.
Without any knowledge of what happened, she fell to the ground, dead.
Roy
returned to Central two mornings after. He had received word that
Lust ahd begun heading in his direction, but nobody told him about
Riza's fate.
He
was met in the station by Major Armstrong, who was shocked to see the
Colonel looking fairly content. Well, it was normal for him to look
that way in some tough times, but the Colonel obviously had cared for
Riza. So why?
"Major
Armstrong," Roy said to him. "Where is Lieutenant Hawkeye? I had
expected her to be here as well."
The
Major's head dropped. So he didn't hear… "They…"
he said, voice breaking. "They didn't tell you…?"
A
worried expression ran over Roy's face. "Tell me what?"
"Riza…
she…" He couldn't say it. Not to Roy.
Face
betraying feelings of anger, Roy snapped at him. "Armstrong! Tell
me what's going on!"
"The
Lieutenant… was killed by the Homunculus."
A
million emotions ran over him. Horror, shock, panic, disgust,
depression; all at once. He fell to his knees, and with a heave,
vomited all over the floor. Never in his life had he felt so sick,
not even when Hughes had died.
Then,
everything went black.
