True Love

I wrote this poem while thinking about the feelings that were coursing through Erik's mind when Christine left him for Raoul...that FOP! snickers Anyways, R&R please! :D

Although we tried so hard to make this last,

Our once true love is in the past.

Our dreams, our hopes, our wishes few,

My only wish was to be with you.

We had so many good times,

And yet so many bad.

You told me you loved me,

And I prayed that you had.

-----------------------------------------------

But I soon found that you betrayed me,

You threw away our love.

Our relationship meant nothing to you,

From the ground to the heaven above.

Instead of crying and wasting my tears,

On pitiless traitors and growing fears,

I'll stay strong and carry on.

Even though our once true love is gone.
