The Only One
All hailed the King-
Soon to be Savior-
Broke rules with tears in eyes-
Hearts in hands to-
The Glorious One.
He –forsaken, shunned-
With joy, left for shame,
Sin, torture, a wasteland –
Creatures of Earth looking for-
The Humble One-
Pinnacle of sad irony-
The Pure on a filthy cross-
One life, He cried-
One chance to give
And so – He died-
The Only One.
