The door swung open, the bell rang signalling a customer, and padfoot put his black paws inside the bleached room. The room smelled like disinfectantand the floor was cold. There were metal and plastic chairs in a u-shape around the right half of the room. The receptionist was sitting behind the counter fileing her nails. Something tugged at Padfoot's neck. It was a collar being pulled by a leash. Padfoot's eyes travled up the length of the leash to the firm pasty hand holding it. His eyes travled up from the hand to the arm to the shoulder to the neck to the face. I hooked nose, greasy hair, and evil eyes looked down at the large dog. Severus Snape was holding the leash and Padfoot was not happy. Severus pulled at the leash while Padfoot tried his hardest to stay sitting in one spot. The first time Padfoot had ever "stayed;" Command or not. He had his front paws dug into the floor while his bum just sat there. His claws scratched the floor and fur was everywhere. Severus's strength and shoes with friction overpowered Padfoot's muscles and desperate clawing, which by chance had no friction. Padfoot was literally dragged to the counter while he was still in his sitting position. If you have ever seen a dog drag his butt on the floor trying to clean it, you know about how this scene looked. At the counter Padfoot attempted to stand and only succeded in bumping his head on the over-hang. He sat back down and was forced to be content with just straining his neck.
"He is here for grooming," Severus told the woman. She handed him a form. Severus dragged Padfoot over to the chairs where he sat down. Padfoot was tired of the cold floor and his paws hurt so he jumped up on a chair a few places from Severus's. He was promptly shoved down and scolded. Padfoot did not like being told what he can and cannot do. Especially if it's Severus Snape doing the telling. Padfoot jumped back up on the chair where he was again pushed off. The men went through this about four more times before Padfoot decided that the rest of his body hurt more than his paws and he just layed under the chair.
"Severus and Snuffles, the docter will see you now." Severus got up and tugged on Padfoot's leash. He had to drag Padfoot's bum through the vet's door for a check up before grooming could commence. By now, Padfoot hated the groomers. He hated the cold floor, the noisy receptionist, the disinfectant smell, the bump on his head... But mostly it was just Severus he hated...
