It was Naruto's first time at the beach. Sasuke had been to the beach multiple times before, so he couldn't understand his friend's excitement. The first thing the blonde did was rip off his shirt and run into the water. He came running back out a few seconds later.
"Cold! Cold! Cold!" he yelled, holding his arms.
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Well what did you expect?"
"Warm." Naruto said bluntly. Sasuke gave him a look that said 'What are you, stupid?' "Well, the sand is warm." he said, picking up his t-shirt and heading back to Sasuke and his sandals.
Sasuke sighed and shook his head, "C'mon, Dobe, let's go get a spot."
Naruto ran off to get a spot for them near the water and Sasuke strolled after him. "Why did I agree to take him to the beach?" he whispered to himself. He looked up to see Naruto shirtless again, his arms behind his head showing off his already tanned skin. "Oh yeah. That's why." It wasn't long before they had set up their stuff and Naruto was playing in the sand.
"C'mon, Sasuke, help me make a sand castle!" he said, kneeling over a shapeless pile of sand.
"No." he said, not even turning away from the book he was reading. It was a requirement for their language arts teacher, Kakashi.
"Then can I bury you in the sand?"
"No."
Naruto sighed. "You're no fun, Sasuke. I'm going into the water." And with that said, Naruto started to walk towards the ocean.
The blonde glared at him over his shoulder and stuck his tongue out before continuing to wade into the water. Sasuke watched Naruto splash around, pretending to be reading the book. Naruto decided to head to deeper water when he suddenly got dragged under.
Sasuke tried not to panic, telling himself that Naruto would be fine, but when Naruto didn't reemerge Sasuke flipped. He quickly tore off his t-shirt and ran/swam to where he had last seen Naruto. He found him and tried to bring him up, but got pushed over by a wave that pushed both to the shore.
Sasuke stared down at Naruto, panting slightly and shaking from the adrenalin rush. "Don't ever…scare me…like that…again." he said between pants, staring into Naruto's blue eye, not knowing whether he should smack the blonde for his stupidity or hug him in relief.
"I'm…I'm sorry, Sasuke." he said, slightly taken aback at his friends tone.
A wave washed over their entangled legs, and it was then that they realized the awkward position they were in. Sasuke was on his hands and knees with Naruto beneath him, their faces not far apart. They both tried to scramble away, making the whole thing even more awkward as they tried to untangle themselves.
The position they had been in and their scramble to get out of it caused Sasuke to fall on top of Naruto, before he could catch himself, their lips pushed together. Sasuke could smell the salty water on Narutos' tanned skin mixed with his own sent, making Sasuke want to kiss him from head to toe.
"Sasuke…" Naruto moaned from underneath him, making Sasuke want him even more, "Get off…people are staring."
"What?" he said as he pulled away. His face paled as the realization of where they were hit him, hard. He jumped off of Naruto and tripped backwards, falling into the ocean, blushing heavily.
Naruto walked over to him and squatted in front of him. He moved his face closer to Sasuke's and whispered in his ear, "Besides, I wanted to be seme."
Sasuke turned a deeper shade of red and he could feel his heart pounding as Naruto kissed him.
