An Athrun/Steller oneshot that may turn into more if you want it too. Not much to say, just please R&R?
Disclaimer: Wait, I know this one! NO!
Green
Shinn had saved Steller. Steller liked Shinn. Shinn protected her, Shinn made the scary things go away. But now Shinn was sitting on the other side of the boat, wrapped in a blanket. Steller didn't know these men. Shinn seemed to. He was arguing with another man. The man wasn't paying attention, he was unfolding another blanket.
And then she felt the warm grey folds wrap around her shoulders, and found herself looking into green eyes. Eyes that felt like the ocean after a storm. Still wild, but calming. A green promising safety and warmth, rather then the cold swallowing depths of blue. And his gaze like the drizzle that keeps up after the chaos, persistant, but gentle. Welcoming, but with the promise of distant destruction.
She felt herself locked on that gaze. That gaze seemed so familiar, like she'd seen it somewhere before. But she couldn't have. The colour of his eyes was strange to her. She knew she'd never seen them before.
And then his gaze lifted off her and he moved away. She watched him return to the front of the boat and take his seat. He didn't look back at her, but spoke to the man driving. But she could still see one of his eyes.
And looking at his face from a side view, the familiarity increased. His gaze, looking over his shoulder at her. Moving away, his face shielded by a darkness. A darkness she had desperately wanted to wipe away.
She knew this man. She knew that gaze. And she was on her feet in a instant, moving to where the man sat.
He looked around at her, one eyebrow lifted. She reached out and touched his nose with one finger and made a quick sweeping movement across his face.
"Your eyes are green?"
Short, yep. But it could get longer. Should I update?
