It is just in her being. He feels her there. Caresses her. Breathes in her soft, deep scent. Lavender. Looks into her misty violet eyes.
He saw past her, finally saw past all those sarcastic remarks. He stopped trying to win her by his lame jokes, and helped her in her time of need, when she thought all hope was lost. He kept her cheerful when the darkness came. And now, she is his, all his.
A soft romantic melody plays in the background. The half-robot leans over by a CD player. The masked leader and the crimson-haired alien kiss passionately across the room. They felt this triumph weeks ago. Now, it's the green changeling's turn. The half-demon before him had fought her evil side. He has helped her.
They slowly turn with the beat of the music. He wouldn't let her leave her life behind. He kept her from destroying herself. He taught her to control her powers, just from the deepst realms of her heart. In his eyes, no matter what her parentage, demon or no demon, she is good, pure good. She faught it. He helped her. Now, they are one being, wrapped together with the melody.
Slowly, slowly. Let it go on. He just wants to slowly step in this dark room forever, as the three other members of his team look on, as he simply holds and caresses his lovely one.
The world is theirs – no, it's not. It just not there. Nonexistant. A faded dream.
Or is this a dream?
If so, let it last forever, whispers the changeling to himself as he holds the dark girl, his love, and kisses her ashen lips, running his fingers through her violet hair and gazing into her misty violet eyes, as the music plays on. Let it last forever.
