As Leo Wyatt walked down the hallway of the dirty, dank hallway of the apartment building his thoughts were only aimed at one thing, more accurately, one person. He was visiting Natalie, a fellow whitelighter and Leo's long time love.

True, Leo was now involved with Piper Halliwell, one of his charges, but no one ever said they couldn't date other people. Besides, Leo and Natalie had been in love ever since they first met as they both trained to become whitelighters.

Leo walked up and knocked at the door. Nothing. Again he knocked with no response. With his heart beating faster and faster every second Leo tried furiously to open the door. He found it locked and decided he was worried enough for Natalie's safety that he would orb in.

As the swirling blue and white lights dissipated and Leo appeared in Natalie's living room, he immediately began looking for her.

"Natalie! Natalie!" Leo screamed, worried about his lover

Suddenly there came a noise from behind the bedroom door. "Oh, Gideon…" It was Natalie's voice.

Leo's anger rose. He was a passive whitelighter but a more passionate love and he wouldn't let this slide. He had been taking crap from Gideon all his whitelighter days and was finally ready to let it out.

Gideon and Natalie were more than surprised to see the swirling blue lights appear in front of the bed. Natalie immediately covered herself with the blanket when she realized it was Leo.

"Natalie, how could you?" Leo asked in both sadness and frustration

"Leo, it's not what you think! I love you, I always have!" Natalie cried in response

"Yes, Leo…she always loved you, past tense! You had your chance and you blew it when you began dating that Charmed One. Oh, well…" Gideon remarked with a laugh

Leo was extremely angry. Gideon had always been messing with him for having an affair with Natalie and even threatened to tell the Elders more than once. Gideon had even demanded sex from Leo in return for keeping the secret. Leo could not let this get out, so he grudgingly obliged. Now, it was Gideon's turn to suffer.

"You've manipulated me and used me for the last time, Gideon!" Leo shouted as he reached for a lamp sitting on Natalie's dresser.

"Leo! Don't do this!" Natalie screamed

But it was too late. Leo had already thrust the lamp at Gideon as hard as he could, but to no avail. Gideon orbed out of the bed and reappeared behind Leo. Gideon wrapped his hands around Leo's throat and started choking him.

Of course, two could play at that game and Leo simply orbed out from Gideon's grasp ready to begin choking him.

"Leo! Please stop! You don't understand! I was doing this to keep our secret! Leave him alone…he won't tell anyone!" Natalie yelled in hopes of stopping the madness

"I just want to make sure of that honey!" Leo replied as he punched Gideon in the face

Suddenly Gideon orbed out, but unlike the times before, he did not return

Leo was relieved he did not have to continue fighting. He sat down on the bed with Natalie.

"It seems we both really needed to keep this secret" Leo remarked

He leaned in to kiss Natalie but she stopped him, "Leo, you're right. I don't want to have to keep this secret any more. I love you, but you have your responsibilities and I have mine. Also, I know you truly love your job and you'd never want to lose it."

"But—"

"Shh…don't…I love you, but you have to go. Good bye Leo"

"Good bye Natalie. I love you." Another swirl of lights appeared and Leo was off

It wasn't until later that Natalie found the boquet of flowers Leo had dropped with the note inside with the writing: You whitelight my life. Be mine forever. Will you marry me?

She spent the entire night crying at the perfect love that was lost to her. She would see Leo again, when she helped the Charmed Ones defeat a demon. But she would also die trying to help her love that same day.
