"That will be 1200 credits please" tyro was at a shipyard in the ulim system owned by the Scorpion empire. Tyro marveled at the massive scorpion warships launching from the shipyards military section, if he had him a trade ship that size hed be very rich but he was quite well off as hed been trading for at least 30 years and he loved his old modified x123 freighter. He had bought the latest powercore and missiles to defend against the pirates that prowled the area; he was avoiding his home, which was a nice place. He knew what he was gonna do over the next few months, he would travel the main trade routes through the Tau Ceti sector, buying Blue crystals and then travel to Ryphai sector where blue crystals were in high demand to power planetary lasers that were defending the new drakli colonies. He also did surveillance missions for the drakli, spying on GA (New colonies were small so they were easy to police) now Tyro had his own small empire (Galactic Alliance) troop movements. Even then he smuggles glittering spice, a drug highly prized in the main cities. He was going to buy new stock for his empires repair bays and shipyards such as engines, lasers, powercores, shields and other things. He wanted to get out of Ulim quick, as GA forces were invading it, Tyro was lucky to be allowed in to this scorpion shipyard (thankfully for Tyro this yard was on the edge of the system but even then within a month all Ulim was conquered) although the scorpion ships were powerful the GA seemed to slice through them with ease.
Later that year Tyro was doing well his empire was growing and getting richer and the collective empire, the richest largest with 306 members, and most powerful empire in the universe (apart from the factions of course) was allying with tyros empire which was named Galaxy 1. Now tyro had an official alliance with the drakli faction, allowing his ships access to the drakli shipyards. He sent aid to the Scorpion Empire allowing it to regain some footing in the Ulim system. Now that the GA were getting more powerful, Tyro was going to move his empires main commercial and military centers away from the Tau Ceti fringe, were the GA where invading plus the crime rate had soared in Tau Ceti. He decided eventually he was going to move out of the Tau Ceti sector to the Pax Imperia sector, where it was safer.
The New Year was a nice time of year for Tyro, his family visited him and he just loved that. This time it was different; the galaxy wasn't a good place to be.
Recently the galaxy had been spilt apart and divided between rival empires and then even smaller empires that spawned off the original ones. He went to see his family that year on his home world of Danbidoia, an icy planet near the western edge of Tau Ceti.when he got there he was shocked to find the great cities of the planet in ruins.
He went to the planetary senator who ruled.
"The GA launched some kind of invisible thermo nuclear weapon, it was a flash and the planet became a ruin, incinerated by radiation. Tyro looked over the place hed grown up, a small village on the outskirts of the capital, now a twisted piece of black stone, although the top of the belfry was still its old cream coulor to some extent.
The streets that were once bustling with traders and queues to get into shops were now ruined and covered in ash, with burnt survivors clogging them. Tyro wondered how a single weapon caused so much devastation; reports said even the moon, chalbery, had been a little scorched by radiation.
The planetary senator then said "we need to get everyone off the planet, many will die of radiation poisoning so we must be quick.
"I can carry about 80 in my ship" Tyro told the senator.
He did so and took them to a medical center on zizi that specialized in radiation and then went to his home on ure.
