"Kurama!" someone screams as they come running out of a forest at night. She is about 5'6", looks about 14, has long straight light blue hair with red streaks (and bangs that arched up 2 in) that reached the top of her pants, ablue tank top with spaghetti straps that reached just below her waist, and flared blue jeans that weresemi-tight until they flared. Her eyes were a changing color kind, but they only changed into red when she was angry, a dark blue when she was sad, black with red pupils when she fights (like in a fist fight), and a sapphire blue any other time. She was the kind of girl that sometimes had problems making friends because of her individuality, and some people disliked her, but she ignored them. "Why do they talk behind my back? The chickens. If you have something to say to me, say it to my face, jerks!" was what she would always say.
"What is it?" Kurama asked as he turned around quickly. He was sitting around a campfire, but only for warmth.
The girl fell down next to the campfire. "Are you alright?" asked Kurama.
The girl was trembling on her side of the fire. "In the forest…I saw…this freaky looking green mucus thing!"
"Oh. You must be talking about the swamp monster." Kurama gave a laugh and said, "I never though my tough-as-nails sister would be afraid of a swamp monster!" then he started to laugh again.
"Hey!" said the girl, apparently Kurama's sister, "It's not funny! Well…" she started to giggle, too, "I guess it was. I'm hardly ever afraid of anything!"
"Well, I think that's enough training for today. You're powers have surpassed mine. I wonder if you're a match for Yusuke."
"Who's Yusuke?" she asked with a quizzical look.
"Mizuhi, Mizuhi, Mizuhi. I forgot that I'd forgotten to introduce you to Yusuke and the gang."
"Well then why can't we go home then you can introduce them?"
"That sounds great," he said with a smile. Then they left the woods, and called up everyone.
A little later…
Kurama and Mizuhi were sitting on the couch waiting for the people to arrive.
Suddenly, a short guy (well, short compared to Kurama, taller than Mizuhi; yes, I changed Hiei's height) that was about 5'9", wearing all black, and looked like a total bad boy. I forgot to mention that Mizuhi really liked bad boys. "Hey Kurama," she asked, "Who's that?"
"Oh, that's just Hiei. He probably teleported here instantly."
"Of course I did," started Hiei. "Man, his voice is so cool!" thought Mizuhi, "and I think you should know that I can read minds, just to let you know," he finished
"Does that mean that you 'heard' what I just said? In my mind, I mean."
"About the whole thing of 'Man, his voice is so cool!'? Yes, I did, matter of fact."
"Dang!" she thought.
"So why did you ask me to come here, Kurama?" asked Hiei, somewhat annoyed at Mizuhi for being so…different.
I wanted to introduce you to Mizuhi," he said, motioning towards her. "She can do the basics like teleport and Spirit Gun, but she also has more advanced abilities like copying moves and such. I was thinking that she could take on Yusuke's by now."
"Pheh," stated Hiei. "I doubt that. Even I have trouble beating him."
Mizuhi laughed and said, "Seriously? Man, that's rich. And you look pretty powerful too."
"Thanks…" he said, unsure if it was an insult or compliment.
"You're welcome. Want something?"
"Uh…Sure. Got any black tea?"
Mizuhi returned 10 minutes later with a cup of tea in her hand.
"That took a while."
"I don't use my powers for things that I can do normally. Otherwise you would've had your tea sooner. Happy?"
"No. I don't like it when people have tons of spirit energy, then don't use it."
Mizuhi flinched at his comment and replied, "Well, well…why don't you just get it yourself!"
Hiei was surprised at her quick mood swing, and retorted with, "Because it isn't my house, baka."
"Baka? You're the baka, BAKA!" (Note from the Author: 'Baka' means idiot in Japanese.)
Suddenly, right before Mizuhi and Hiei were about to have a fight, someone knocked at the door.
"Kurama! Sounds like Hiei beat me, er, us here, but who else is in there? Sounds like a girl. Is there something you're not telling me?" said the person on the other side of the closed door.
"Oh great, the idiot committee is here," said Hiei.
Mizuhi silently laughed and went to open the door. "Be careful, Mizuhi," Kurama quickly cautioned before she reached the door, "They'll come quickly." Mizuhi nodded, then opened the door and jumped out of the way. Even though she had moved as fast as possible without her powers, someone still managed to stomp on her toe.
"Hey, Shorty!" Kuwabara said in greeting to Hiei. He growled in reply.
"Hey Kurama!" Yusuke said cheerfully. "Hey—who's that?"
"Oh, her?" asked Kurama, waving his hand in Mizuhi's direction, "When you all calm down, I'll tell you."
Suddenly the whole room went silent, and everyone sat down on one of the many couches. For some odd reason, Kurama had around four couches in his living room.
"Okay, how 'bout you introduce her now, Kurama!" exclaimed Yusuke.
"Alright, alright. This, my friends, is my sister, Mizuhi." At this point Mizuhi put her arms up as a defense because when she read Botan's mind (she had a feeling she was the most cheerful of the group), she heard that the moment Kurama said her name, Botan would pounce on her screaming her name, like she began to do now:
"Mizuhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" screamed Mizuhi, who then ran into the bathroom, and locked the door behind her.
"Well jeez," said Kuwabara, "that didn't go very well, now did it, Yurameshi?"
"Shut up, dork. I'll go get her," suggested Yusuke, but then Kurama held up his arm and blocked him.
"She won't listen to you, she hardly knows you after all."
"Yah, but—"
"Just stay here," Kurama hissed, very unusual for his almost constant calm composure. Yusuke stopped dead in his tracks, and froze, completely. Kurama walked off next to the bathroom door and knocked. "Mizuhi?"
"What?"
"Could you come out? I promise Botan won't pounce on you."
"Why should I trust you?"
"You should trust me because I'm your older brother, and you've trusted me for years."
Mizuhi thought for a moment, then said, "Why should I trust her?"
"Mizuhi," Kurama said dangerously.
"Fine then, I'm coming out," she said then opened the door, looking very annoyed.
"Well fine then, Mizuhi, can I at least give you a hug?" asked Botan.
"Yah, that's okay, just no pouncing."
"Yay! Okay," said Botan with a hug.
"Please please PLEASE help me, Hiei!" she thought-asked the short demon.
"Hell no."
"You suck. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE—"
"Fine then! I'll send her a message, but you'll be able to hear it anyhow."
"Thanks."
"Botan; your PDA is making me sick. LET GO NOW!"
"Fine then, Hiei. Just because you're a Goth doesn't mean you can boss me around according to your needs," Botan said, letting go.
"Hey! Whoever said that a person who just has a liking for the color black and is anti-social is a Goth!" yelled Hiei back.
"Hey, hey, hey. You guys! Break it up!" said Kuwabara, barreling between the two.
"Yes, this is supposed to be a fun time, not a war," added Kurama.
"Hey! How about we do something fun while we're here! Like……play Spin the Bottle!" suggested Keiko.
"NO!" screamed Hiei and Mizuhi at the same time.
"No way in hell are you getting me to play that idiotic game," said Hiei.
"Well fine then, Hiei, you don't have to—" Keiko was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Um, I'm sorry I'm late, but this is Kurama's house, correct?" asked a small, quiet voice.
"YUKINAAAAA!" yelled Kuwabara as he charged at the door to let her in. "I'm so glad you could make it!" A short, light blue haired girl with a red ribbon in her hair walked in. She had a proper light blue kimono on and tatami sandals and tabi socks on.
"Oh, I'm sorry Yukina. I forgot that I invited you," said Kurama apologetically, "The reason for me calling you here is because I wanted you to meet my sister, Mizuhi."
"Oh. Hello, Mizuhi. I'm Yukina," said Yukina with a polite bow.
"H-h-hello," said Mizuhi who bowed in return, shocked by Yukina's politeness. 'I didn't think there were people like her around nowadays,' thought Mizuhi to herself, blocking Hiei out.
"Well, if someone," Keiko started, glaring at Hiei as she said someone, "doesn't want to do Spin the Bottle, then how about we all sleep over here! At Kurama's house! I mean, it's HUGE!" she said, taking in all the largeness of the house. It was a pretty big house for Japan and all. Mizuhi only realized this when Keiko pointed it out. "Please, Kurama! PLEASE can we have a slumber party?" asked Keiko, putting on a sad pathetic face that she thought might help her get a yes from Kurama.
"It's fine with me. The only problem will be keeping Hiei here. He might just teleport away during the night."
"Don't worry about him, Kurama. I'll keep him here," Mizuhi said with a sneer.
"And how the heck are ya gonna do that, Shorty?" asked Yusuke
"DON'T CALL ME SHORTY!" screamed Mizuki at Yusuke. "I don't like that name, especially when I'm not that short! And in reply to your question: I have my ways."
