Pocket Watch
It had all stood still then and there. Time seemed like it had stopped when Envy had stabbed me through the chest. I'd heard my name called out, but I didn't pay any attention. As he withdrew the blade I saw the smirk on his face. I let out a gasp of air as he let me fall to the ground almost dead. My state Alchemists pocket watch fell out of my pocket and hit the ground. I could hear it ticking; it was ticking in time with my heartbeat. I reached out my hand and picked it up. This one simple watch held so many memories in it, both happy and sad. I held it close to my heart. It hurt. I pulled it back to look at it one last time. My blood covered it, turning it a nice crimson metallic colour.
The ticking went out of tune with my heart as the organ started to slow down. When it stopped I had a few seconds to look at the world before I died. At least Al had his body, and he was happy. I felt a tear roll down my cheek as my hand fell limp and dropped to the ground. My head fell and I looked to the watch. It might have just been me and my dying mind that imagined it, but I could've sworn the watch stopped ticking. Although, my mind was out of focus so maybe it was just me...
