She had tiny hands. Little small wrinkly hands that tried to grab everything it saw, recently her favorite being her father's hair, but aside from that, all he ever really noticed were her small, tiny hands…and her smile.
That smile that would bloom whenever he would hold her, how her eyes would close slowly as she was rocked to sleep, how that small mouth would open and scream so loudly it would make everyone cringe, all expect for him. He loved her lively jade eyes and that spirited laugh every time something entertained her. He loved her, that much he knew and he didn't ever think that would change. Nothing would ever change that.
He loved how her eyes would search straight for him so quickly, and how her small chubby arms would open as if to give away she wanted him to hold her, and he never objected, that would be crazy to do.
No one could ever really say she looked like him, or her mother, as she was a mix, the only indication towards his obvious blood in her being her fiery red hair, but her eyes, her eyes were a light unbeatable green, a mix of him and her mother.
And when I see you smile, it makes it all worth while
And when you reach the sky, I won't be there to cry
She would squeal when she saw her uncle and aunt, her godparents, any person who would be close enough to her heart, it would be a weakness he would teach her to closely guard, but for now, he would let her live life, and she would smile that angel smile for him.
Her mother was a mix of beauty and strength and he loved her all the more for given him this angel he never knew could exist. Her mother was the love of his life but she…this small angel, was his blood…the only true family he had ever created, a life he helped create. It was overwhelming -not that he would show it, lord knows what that would do to his reputation-, but she was his new reason for living, his new reason to protect and his new reason to just be.
And when your heart pours out, I hope he well deserves what angel smile my heart preserves.
He was told she would not always be so cute and innocent, that she would not always be that small little bundle of joy everyone liked to dote on. That she would grow into a beautiful young woman, then later blossom into a woman and start a family of her own.
He didn't like to listen, he had always been a stubborn one Temari would say, and that of course was the obvious truth, anyone with eyes could see it, but he would not let that happen, in his eyes she would always be that girl who would laugh a happy laugh or who would cry and let the entire world know she was unhappy.
And when you eyes shine, like a star at night, I will protect you with all my might.
And when you sing that song, that same old song, I hope you know well that you belong.
He knew it was foolish, his wife would tell him at least once a day that there would be more, he would blush slightly and just continue to his work, and he knew that very well, he just always knew she would be his favorite. Daddy's little girl.
And he knew that just as long that she smiled for him, that angel smile, nothing would change that.
And when you sleep at night, just know one thing, one simple thing. That you belong.
Somehow this is weirdly GaaSaku, but it really was obviously about their small child and Gaara's feelings towards her. I know it was cheesy, and it was the crappiest thing in the world, but could you spare this learning writer and tell her what you thought of it? Pretty please? All ya'll have to do is REVIEW. Thanks a bunch!
Until Next Time,
Darkofthenight.
