Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia. But I hope I'll get Tales of the Abyss when it comes out. :)
Untainted Beauty
By: Sango
Taijiya-san
A white cloth sways slowly in the warm breeze. The purity reflected off it is radiant and stunning.
(get out, you filthy)
The rain begins to fall, soaking the cloth. But it's okay, because the sun will dry the cloth up soon enough…
(stop fighting)
The wind picks up under the overcast skies, but the cloth clings to the tree branch where it was hung, and endures it.
(it's over)
And the sun shines once more, and between the deep green foliage of the tree, the light manages to strike the pure, white, untainted cloth. The light reflecting off it serves like a beacon of hope.
(how)
The cloth remains white for a while, but then a rank scent fills the air
(could)
and the cloth is
(you)
dyed crimson.
The red cloth now hangs in the branches of that same tree. If someone sees it, they will try to wash it, but to no avail. Because you can't forget the past.
(I won't forget)

If anyone knows what my metaphorical one-shot means (it can't be too hard, right?) feel free to post in a review. Ja ne!
