F is for fortitude amidst the sound of canon-thunder

G is for the gauntlet thrown between the three

H is the broken heart he cast off to sea

I is the Interceptor, fastest ship around

J is for the jerks who ran her 'to the ground

K is for the King, whose orders he must obey

L is for love and the words he can't say

M is for the maps he unfurled across the table

N is for the Navy, providing ships and men when able

O is an overboard boy who stole his girl

P is for pirates which make his lip curl

Q is for his quick wit, kept at the ready

R is the rudder chain that had held the ship steady

S is a final smile that showed her what he couldn't tell

T is Tortuga, where he's found a new kind of Hell

U is for unwanted, despairing, and disgraced

V is for the valour which hasn't quite been displaced

W is a white wig, untamed and poofing at the sides

X is for the x-marks he longs to see on pirates' eyes

Yet Y is for yearning far out past the darkened shore

Z is the sound as he slumps to the floor

And A is for always, no matter how hard he fights

He still misses her on those cold, rum-filled nights.


Author's Note:

It's the alphabet song, Commodore-style! You can almost sing it if you try hard enough. (well, sort of)

A few things: the letter A repeats itself (because it is that cool); the "three" referred to in the letter G means Will, Norrington, and Jack (henceforth referred to as Elizabeth's love square); the letter J comes after the letter I and is meant as a Norrington ( a tad OOC) POV; X means the x-shaped marks on the eyes of cartoon people, etc (e.g, dead fish have x's on their eyes).
