Simple Thoughts
All the lights were out. The two sat down next to each other while Ren, Horo, Manta and Ryu lay down on the floor sleeping comfortably and snoring in chorus.
They just stayed there sitting and doing whatever comes into mind with awkward silence. Yoh miraculously remained quiet for several hours now when Anna noticed his dazed look floating in midair.
"What are you thinking?" she asked though her voice didn't actually have the slightest hint of interest.
Yoh broke from his blank gaze and nonchalantly answered without thinking twice.
"you"
Anna raised her brows and just shrugged. "None. And you what are you thinking of?"
Yoh suddenly looked perplexed, dropping his jaws and scratching his head before repeating… "you" and pointing to her with his index finger.
Anna – temper starting to boil and getting pissed off with the shaman who haven't answered her question – answered in an irritated tone, "I said none!" By the looks of her, she seemed to want to bonk him in the head and throw him a slap and send him flying outside for not understanding what she meant… which to her, was sooo simple yet was sooo complicated for her fiancé.
Yoh returned the same confused face to her.
"I'm not thinking of anything, now I'm asking you!" She wasn't just irritated, she IS MAD.
Yoh smacked his head with his right hand while trying to hide the grin creeping on his lips.He also never thought that he'd be able to tell her the same thing she always mugs him with. --- Don't you get it? I never thought Anna could be this dense.
An awfully jaded Anna paused and waited for Yoh to make a sensible reply, her chin cupped in her hands. This gave him a chance to clear and explain to her, for the first time I guess, what he actually meant. He pointed to himself then to the side of his head then to her as he said crystal clear "You asked something, right?"
She nodded.
"And my answer was… YOU."
…
"Oh."
Anna blushed. "You were thinking of…"
"Yes, you." Yoh moaned in relief. FINALLY!
"I should have known that being dense was contagious. I'll get Horo for this."
