Hello, all! First Tammy Pierce fic, so, don't hurt me too much with your flaming-ness. Just to let you know, occasionally I will forget the disclaimers. XP Let me know if I do, if you so wish to. Speaking of Disclaimers: I own nothing created by Tamora Pierce, who rox my sox. :)

Raoul of Goldenlake smiled at Keladry, the second Lady Knight, and told her casually, "You do realize that myself and Buri's wedding is coming up?"

"Yes, milord." Was Keladry's, or Kel's, immediate answer. Raoul's facial expression changed to one of extreme annoyance. "Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that?" Kel gave a smirk and said, "Yes, milord." Raoul glared daggers at her. "Don't be irritating to me, Lady Kel. You're trying my temper."

Kel raised her eyebrows. "But of course, its nothing compared to Lady Alanna's." She didn't wait for a response and said, "Anyways, milord, go on with what you called me here for."

Raoul decided to ignore the 'milord' in her last sentence, and told her, "You need to find a date for the wedding." Smirking, he told her, "Unfortunately for you all are taken but one." Kel put on her Yamani mask and asked, "Who?"

"Sergeant Domitan of Masbolle." Raoul casually answered. Little did Kel know that there were plenty of people available. But everyone knew about Kel and Dom's feelings towards each other. So this was part of a plan to get them together.

Kel kept her Yamani mask up. She thought to herself, Oh no. I'm certain he has no feelings for me. This should make for a dull wedding on my part.

"So that means," Raoul's voice cut into her thoughts, "That you must go with him, dance with him, and so on."

Kel glared at Raoul. "You're joking right? He has no feelings for me, why would he want to dance with me! He's only my friend, even though I wish we were mo-" she stopped, and put her face into her hands. She had just admitted to Raoul that she felt something for Dom. Even though it felt like she had admitted it to the entire realm.

Raoul stared at Kel. "Look at me." He told her calmly. Kel looked up, trying, but miserably failing to keep her Yamani mask set upon her face. "Kel, did you just tell me that you have feelings for my Sergeant?" Kel shook her head. "Kel…" Raoul looked at her. "Tell the truth. Because I believe that you just did."

Kel didn't answer, only blushed, letting her Yamani mask slip away completely. "Kel?"

"Yes, milord. I… admitted I had feelings for him."

Raoul made no further comment on the subject, but instead told Kel she could leave.

Well, its my first Tammy Pierce fic. I hope you like it so far. I have plenty of time this summer, so expect updates.
