Prologue
Part Two

The wind howled at the windows, screaming to be let in from the cold. Jack Sparrow sat hunched over his desk, a grubby piece of parchment held in his hands. He rubbed his eyes wearily and shook his bottle of rum absentmindedly, mostly just checking it was still there.

It had been a month since Jack Sparrow had been to see Tia Dalma. She knew why he had come to see her as soon as he had sat at her table. The compass had stopped giving headings. It appeared that Jack Sparrow didn't know what he wanted. Tia Dalma had cackled before she had set Jack a task. To occupy you, she had told him, grinning. Dalma had then handed Jack the very grubby piece of parchment he now sat holding. On the parchment, there was a list. Dalma had explained that they were qualities he had to look for in a person…

Jack sat up straight and emptied the bottle of rum into his mouth. It was late, and Jack was tired. Tired of this mission he had been rallied into. Dalma had promised him the greatest treasure he ever hoped to find. He only hoped she was right. His faith should be strong; the woman he had once cherished had never steered him wrong in the past. It was because of her he now sat alive, Captain of the Black Pearl once again. He owed her his life. And pirates always repaid their debts. He just hoped this new undertaking didn't cost him his life. Again. It seemed it was always so…

Author's Note:

I should have said this before, but this story is set after DMC and I guess the third adventure as well. Let's just say that they saved Jack and everyone lived happily ever after! So this story is set about a year after Jack was saved.

Will became a pirate with his father (whom he freed from Davy Jones) and they crew their own ship which is called the Immortal.

As for Elizabeth, she returned to Port Royal as she could not work out the feelings she harbored for both Will and Jack so felt it best that she separated herself from the two men.

How about that?
